Feli and the Lemonshakers

Afro-Swedish, Spanish, Malaysian-American and Chilean are the nationalities of Feli and the LemonShakers. They define themselves as Indie-Tropical: Indie-Pop + World Music + Soul. Or, if you prefer, a mixture between Vampire Weekend + Florence and the Machine + Lianne La Havas + ?. Their music works perfectly for real crazy dancers as well as people who like to snap their fingers and clap their hands.

It was the fall of 2014 and still pretty hot in Los Angeles, California when they all met for the first time at music school. Making original songs was the main focus for a class called ‘Original Project’. Randomly, they chose each other to form a band without knowing if the final result would work out. But in one week they made "Can´t Stop” and decided to continue jamming!

Their first EP – Naïve-, released summer 2016, was received very well by music blogs and radio stations alike (in the U.S., France, U.K. and Spain) as well as by those who saw them performing live at Sofar Sounds LA + Madrid, Ivar Theater (GRAMMY U), the Greek Theater, NAMM 2017, Make Music Pasadena Festival, Youbloom L.A, Festival , National Spanish TV Show, and other heavenly stages! Winners of Converse’s Rubber Tracks contest, they got to record new shaken-fruit at the amazing studio The Fortress in Downtown Los Angeles.

Currently, Feli and the LemonShakers are about to release their new EP -HighLife- with the label Mint400 Records, where Woody Aplanalp (Lauryn Hill, Bobby Womack, Aloe Blacc) has mixed two songs of the upcoming work.
