About this concert
Passionnée de jazz des gitans d’Europe, la guitariste d’origine française entourée de ses « imposteures » offre un jazz digne du grand Django.
Elle rend notamment hommage à ce maître du manouche dans son quatrième album, Entre Félix et Django, qui rassemble les plus beaux morceaux du premier et du géant Félix Leclerc.

Excellent show. Lovely venue. Sound was satisfactory. Guitars and bass saturated and too high in mix tending to drown vocals. Basically mixed like rock and roll rather than the Jazz that it is supposed to be.

Christine Tassan Biography
For more than 20 years, guitarist Christine Tassan has led her boat with brio, aplomb and an absolutely contagious dynamism. One of the rare female jazz guitarist and gypsy jazz soloists, she stands out with sensitive playing, quiet strength and irresistible boldness. Also singer, composer, author, director and producer, she takes part in numerous musical projects in Quebec and on the international scene, both as a leader and as a guest musician.
With a decade and a half of bringing their special blend of Gypsy jazz and revisited cover songs to audiences, Christine Tassan et les ImposteurEs have made a name for themselves on the music scene.
