The Midnight

I have been listening to this band since 2020. One of the most listened to artists since that time. You guys are absolutely amazing. I consider you the best synthwave band of all time. I know I sound harsh, but the live performance could use a lot of improvement. Synthesizers were barely audible compared to the drum symbols and vocals. The bass was too low as well. It just didn't sound like synthwave at all. The saxophone was by far the only highlight I can remember. Now, I know there is a side to this band which appeals more to the mainstream, sounds a little more like pop than synthwave. So maybe they don't care about owning the title of best synthwave band of all time. Maybe they would rather shoot for the Moon and make pop music. I am happy to see a packed venue for this band. But, just my perspective, it felt like the crowd was full of the type of people who are afraid of dance clubs. I encourage the Midnight to ramp it up a level. Increase the electronic, ethereal, dreamy, synthy elements in your songs. Don't be afraid to do an instrumental song and get creative with it. It would blow your fans minds. Pleeeease. I beg you

I’ve only been a fan for the last few years, but The Midnight have already become a staple on my playlists. This was my first time seeing them live, and it absolutely won’t be my last. They sounded incredible, the energy was unreal, and the whole show felt genuinely emotional in the best way. The crowd, the atmosphere, the music — everything hit perfectly. Five stars honestly doesn’t feel like enough.

Honestly my favorite concert I've been too. Sounded great, has awesome lighting and effects to back them up, and we're interacting with the crowd a lot. They were an awesome band to see in person and I got to see it with some good friends. The opener New Constellations was also amazing and if you're a fan of The Midnight you should check them out.

The Midnight puts on one of the best sounding and visually stimulating shows around. The crowd engagement with the band was top shelf and added a serious layered dynamic to an already fantastic concert. The song selection was indepth and catalog spanning. You are getting the best of the best all the way around with this band!!!

Been listening to these guys for years and this was my first opportunity to see them live - wow, what a performance! Great track selection & great atmosphere. When are you coming back to the UK? :)

Amazing show!!! Ultra Girl was also an amazing opening act. Absolutely over the moon that The Midnight played Deep Blue, and the strong opening with Days Of Thunder rocked. We had an incredible time!

While listening to The Midnight and alike a lot, you'll usually only find me on metalcore concerts either headbanging in the front or in the middle of the moshpit. So I didn't quite know what to expect... Turns out it's been one of the best concert experiences I've had so far. The positive energy that quickly filled the room and increased by the minute was incredible. You could feel their absolute passion.

I saw the band in their only previous visit to Sydney five years ago at Oxford Art Factory and I must say I liked that show a lot better. This show had 5 times as many punters and the enthusiastic crowd sang along to almost every song, but the fact I didn’t know much of the newer material was a handicap for me. I don’t think the addition of two extra band members (lead guitar plus bass/female vocals) adds anything, the admittedly remarkable saxophonist is very over-used to the point of tedium, and a new arrangement pretty much wrecked my favourite song The Comeback Kid. So while anyone else will probably tell you the show was great I could gladly have missed it (but you never know until you go, do you)?

Everything was smooth and enjoyable. Staff were great. Parking was easy. The venue is gorgeous. Concessions were great. And the band was fun. Overall one of the best experiences. I can’t think of anything that would need improvement.

6th time I’ve seen the midnight and by far the best show. They played literally all my favorite songs, including instrumentals. Absolutely ridiculous lighting and on stage energy. I love this band

Incredible as always! Justin was there this tour instead of Jesse & equally awesome! They played some songs I’ve never heard them play on your before. Every song was amazing. The Midnight brought the energy, the fun, & the love as always

It's so fun to see The Midnight performing as a full band. Sound and stage set up were great and it was a good crowd. Was a little weird how early the show finished, opening band at 7 and headliner over by 930pm. We were rather abruptly being shoved out of the venue and nearly escorted off the property by 945, hardly any time to check out merch and go to the bathroom before heading home. Feel like the staff at The Complex kind made that a bummer way to end the night, but the show was good.

The Midnight put on a pretty good show, for their first tour and selling out is quite impressive. However for being a sold out show the crowd was too stiff!!! They need to work on getting the crowd more hype between the saxophone parts and actually dancing to their awesome songs.

the Midnight, i waited like forever for this concert in switzerland! i went to both shows. it is amazing! the guys are really cool! great liveshow and i will never forget that one! synthwave legends!

They really blew the show out of the park. I went expecting a good show, but they delivered above and beyond my expectations. They sound way better live than on their albums.

Couple s****y things. Now you have to pay for parking at the venue and it’s kind of a walk. Not a biggie. Next, the photographer during Violet Days was an a*s, he may as well have been part of the band, I couldn’t see s**t. However the show was rad. Good sound, good vibes.

The Midnight was amazing! Saw their first show ever at DNA Lounge and seeing the last show of this tour was fantastic! The crowd was great, the venue is super intimate. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely phenomenal show! They sound the same as they do in their tracks, but also adding more flair to them and making a show out of it. It was such an amazing experience and would recommend any of their fans (I mean, even fans of mucic) to see them live.
