My hubby turned me on to Herb Alpert years ago when we were courting. When we found out Herb Alpert was still performing, we snagged tickets. It was such an amazing experience!! It was our first time to The State Theatre New Jersey and found it be very intimate and classy. Herb Alpert sounds just like he did on those vinyl records from a long time ago…. It could not have been any better! We made a little road trip out of it.. 2hr 15 minute ride. Stayed at The Heldrich Hotel right across the street. Had great drinks & eats in New Brunswick as well as other parts of NJ. Wonderful lunch at Alice’s American restaurant the next day in Lake Hopatcong.
The show was spectacular!! I can still hear the trumpet music playing 🎶
Definitely recommend the State Theatre New Jersey!

Probably one of the best shows I’ve been to. For someone approaching 91, Herb Alpert could run rings around a twenty-one year old.
