Minneapolis band, Sigcell, embraces their shapeshifting ways and returns with Transhuman, an album miles from the alt‐americana sound of 2019’s Pile of Ghosts but just around the corner and down a dirty alley from their densely electronic-rock debut, The Poet. Drawn from the band’s many influences such as Pixies, Elbow, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Cure, Transhuman evolves the traditions of alt, psych, and prog rock.

Sigcell formed in 2001 and included a rotating cast of members until 2015 when original founding members, Peter Wannemacher (Vocals/Guitar) and Andrew Munsch (Guitar) were joined by Sam Keenan (Bass, Vocals) and Ben Stein (Drums).
