MLTR is a rock band that has been active since the 1990s and has given a number of gold, platinum, and multi-platinum hit singles. And the first thing that comes to mind when we think of MLTR is their love songs.

The group was formed in 1988 at a high school in Aarhus, Denmark. The group consists of four members ( infact three when they started the group ) The singer and keyboard player Jascha Richter (b. 1963), drummer Kare Wanscher (b. 1969), guitarist Mikkel Lentz ( b. 1968 ) and Soren Madsen (b. 1967). Soren Madsen joined the group as a bass drummer, though he was a guitarist. The group started as a little cafe band. They won the annual talent contest in Aahrus in May 1988 and was subsequently land up in a agreement with J.P.Andersen.

Since international debut in 1991 with the album Michael Learns to Rock, the group has sold over 9 million copies, and have been performing ever since. Their albums have been consistently doing well in international circles. Since the september 1991 debut of the album Michael Learns to Rock, they have released "The Actor" (the hit ballad that tops the dannish charts), Colours (1993) , Played On Pepper (1995), Nothing To Lose (1997), Michael Learns to Rock - Greatest Hits(1999), Blue Night (2000) and "Michael Learns to Rock" (2004). MLTR is one of the most poplular Danish bands, in their homeland as well as the asia - pacific. Still it remains unknown in the western hemisphere.
