Union Jack

Union Jack has embodied the raw energy of the underground scene since 1997. Shaped by Rock & Roll, Punk and Ska influences, the trio forges a singular, instantly recognizable sound, blending catchy melodies, unapologetic dissonances, mirrored vocal interplay and incisive distortion.
Their tracks are both abrasive and high-strung, exploring strong social themes: women’s place in society, democratic illusions, macho behaviors, LGBT rights, precarity, illness, frustration, overconsumption, cultural power, imposed conflicts, resilience, social rejection, the pharmaceutical industry, religious excesses, gentrification, anti-speciesism and militarization.
In 2025, Union Jack unveils “Acid Serenades”, a 9-track album, recorded, mixed and mastered in May 2024 by Sébastien Langle.
Moving away from conventional formats, the band presents ambitious compositions enriched with keyboards, piano, strings and careful arrangements.
The album also stands out for bold collaborations, notably with a gospel choir on “Social Game”.
Between social critique — toxic masculinism, integration, the economics of conflict, infinite growth, cultural standardization — and introspection — depression, breakups, excess, failure, dystopian visions — “Acid Serenades” marks a new stage in the group’s evolution.
Still driven by the same intensity, Union Jack continues to carry its message with passion and conviction, touring regularly across Europe and as far as Canada.
