Awesome show 🕺🏽🎉 but the bar at ovo was a nightmare ☹️

The musical talent on display at Silverworks for Sonny Fodera's event was truly exceptional. While there were other fantastic performances throughout the day that kept the energy high, Sonny Fodera's headline set was, without a doubt, the highlight. He delivered an absolutely phenomenal performance that showcased his immense talent, with a track selection that was on point and kept the crowd absolutely buzzing. The production value, too, was top-tier – the sound was crisp and powerful, and the lighting design was fantastic, perfectly complementing the beats and enhancing the overall immersive feeling of the night. If this review were solely based on the artists' performances and the technical execution of the show, it would be a resounding five stars. However, the venue itself, Silverworks, unfortunately presented several significant drawbacks that impacted the overall enjoyment of the night, leading to a 4.5-star rating. Firstly, the trek from the nearest station was quite a hike, which after a long day of dancing, felt rather arduous. But the main issue once inside was the ground – a vast expanse of gravel. While perhaps practical for some events, for a dance music gig, it was incredibly uncomfortable. Dancing on it for extended periods led to genuine leg cramps and made it difficult to truly let loose and enjoy the music without discomfort. More concerning, however, was the palpable tension in the crowd. There were far too many fights and arguments breaking out throughout the night, and a noticeable lack of security presence to intervene. This created an undercurrent of unease that detracted from the positive vibes the music was trying to cultivate. Additionally, overt drug usage was prevalent and seemingly unchecked, which contributed to the less-than-ideal atmosphere. In conclusion, Sonny Fodera, along with the other performers, absolutely smashed it, delivering an incredible musical journey with top-tier production. It's just a shame that the venue's shortcomings, from the uncomfortable ground to the noticeable security issues and prevalence of drug use, put a damper on what could have been a truly perfect night. If Silverworks can address these venue-specific problems, then future events of this caliber would undoubtedly be five-star experiences all around.
