Sobre The Springs

What do you get when you pair Stewart Halcomb and Holly Helms together? Along with tight harmonies, sure-footed songwriting direction, high energy shows, authenticity, and undeniable chemistry, you ultimately get - The Springs. The driven pair is carving out a place of longevity in Music City. Featuring both male and female vocals, The Springs come packed with an always growing fan base. The versatile multi-award winning duo delivers Country, Southern Rock, Pop, and traditional favorites, offering something for the whole family.

Some things are just meant to be, and the divine pairing of Stewart and Holly serves as a perfect example. The two Alabama natives met at the world famous Bluebird Café shortly after they each moved to Nashville. They both moved to town with a dream and a moving story. During their high school days, both Stewart and Holly found healing and comfort in music as they each had endured tragedies – Stewart survived an EF4 tornado hitting his school and taking the lives of eight of his friends, while Holly lost her grandmother and cousin in drunk driving accidents.

“These tragic events helped us know that music was what we wanted to do with our lives,” shared Holly.

“I realized it could make a difference in other people’s lives, and that you can touch the life of someone you’ve never met,” added Stewart.

Holly made it to the third round of the preliminaries of NBC’s “The Voice, while Stewart brought several impressive awards to the table. The future duo began co-writing, and both approached their music with a “live life to the fullest” outlook. Sparks flew between the two, and it became certain that their chemistry onstage and offstage set them apart in a large pool of aspiring artists. They began working with Rick Barker, who managed Taylor Swift when she got her record deal. Barker witnessed their unwavering work ethic and their obvious connection. Subsequently he encouraged them to work as a team. From taking his advice and following his model, they continue to watch their careers flourish.

The Springs have shared the stage with some of country music’s top recording acts including Florida Georgia Line, Thompson Square, Jake Owen, Josh Turner, Gary Allan, Hunter Hayes, Love and Theft, Mark Wills, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels and Easton Corbin. As down to earth as they are talented, The Springs enjoy interacting with their fans of all ages. Their fans have taken on the name “Springsters”, and have truly become more than just “fans” to The Springs. Stewart & Holly actually call their fans, “frans” (friends + fans = frans) because they truly feel a personal friendship between each fan. After each show they stay to make sure they sign autographs and take pictures with everyone that comes (many times 4-6 hours) to let each “fran” know how much they mean to them.

Offstage, Holly accepted Stewart’s marriage proposal on December 20th, 2013. Stewart popped the question at the Bluebird where the pair first met on January 23rd, 2011. He was successful in closing the Bluebird down for 2 hours and successful in getting that “Yes.” Besides the couple, the only other people present for the memorable moment were Stewart and Holly’s parents and a photographer.

More Recently, Stewart and Holly “tied the knot” on September 12th, 2015. The couple was married in their home state of Alabama in front of their families, band members, and closest friends. While they could not invite all their “frans” to the wedding, they did want them to be a part of their special day and the wedding was streamed LIVE over Periscope with over 1500 viewers.

Although they both grew up in Alabama, Holly Helms and Stewart Halcomb of The Springs first met playing the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. “Up before me was this girl. She sounded great. She was beautiful. I instantly knew I had to talk to her,” says Stewart. Little did they know they would become partners, offstage and on, amassing over one million streams across platforms, and opening for stars like Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Clarkson, Reba, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Maddie & Tae, Alan Jackson, and many more.

When it comes to The Springs, the only real surprise is that it didn’t happen sooner. “It took three or four years before we became a duo,” explains Stewart. “We didn’t pursue anything initially but the more we dated, we realized that we made a great team,” details Holly, “We each have our strengths, and when we put them together, people in the industry noticed.”

Once together, there was no stopping them. Their live shows began to endear them to a rapidly growing fan base; they have made regular appearances at CMA Music Festival; charted on the Billboard Country Chart with their release, “Old Fashioned,” hitting #33; their music video to their popular & relatable single, “Don’t Need Fixin’” went #1 on The Heartland Network and their albums have landed on top 10 lists on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Music. But perhaps most importantly, the two are married and celebrated the arrival of their first baby boy in April 2021.

“We got engaged at the Bluebird, right where we met,” smiles Stewart, “I was able to get her parents and my parents there on both sides of the stage. It was magical.” Several years on, they are strong as ever, with new music coming in the new year, new shows added, and more. “God has truly blessed us in so many ways. We are so thankful for the success we’ve had thus far, and are so excited to see what happens next,” says Holly, “The best part is we get to do it with our best friend, and the person we love the most.”
