As a little girl Ann Weller was setting fairy-tales into music on her piano. Today she writes songs with an addiction to melancholia.
Her distinctive voice and her classically influenced piano style is enveloped in the minimalistic drum grooves of Benny Glass and the mystic-surf guitar of producer/guitarist Boris Meinhold.
It shines through that the band is resident within the Berlin electronic club scene. Maybe it is classic hits wave music. Or Jim Jarmusch meets Michel Gondry. Sometimes drama but nevertheless too unvarnished and undressed to be kitschy.
