Third time seeing Mr Bragg, but first time in a small theater. Very intimate with excellent sound. Mr Bragg shared many humerus stories and anecdotes along with his vast catalog of "music with a message". If he comes to your town don't miss it! First time at the Waldo Theater but hopefully not the last. Run by an excellent courteous staff of mostly volunteers. Recently renovated and comfortable sears with great sound.

Fab evening watching the Bard himself. Lovely setting too at Westonbirt Arboretum. Mr Bragg always delivers. The night was topped off with a back catalogue of singalongers from Paul Heaton. Wow.

Uncle Bill was excellent - stripped back three-piece, as good as ever (last saw him in Brizzle around the Roaring Forties tour at the all-seated ex-Colston Hall). Always has a great rapport with the audience,, even if the majority weren't on their feet for his set - but then the majority were probably there for Paul Heaton, whose band were superb, great back catalogue (The Housemartins, The Beautiful South, etc) and engaging newer material too (Welcome to Heatongrad doesn't pull any punches). The venue was great, the people (staff and punters) excellent, and the weather - couldn't have asked for more. Hopefully a few people went home thinking about change, the struggle for liberty, and that they're not alone in it. Stay strong, brothers sisters and siblings.

Billy Bragg is an amazing entertainer, and this show was no exception. Alongside his spot-on guitar and vocals, he delivers bright, relevant, entertaining perspectives on the state of the world and our place in it and how we grow and change over time. (If you are political conservative, you probably already know this artist is not for you unless you are ready for the conversation.) He took the time to reflect on his previous visits to our town - it seems like he always does his homework to deliver a performance that is really for that specific audience at that specific time and place. Unlike so many performers who (and I don't blame them) can hardly remember where they are. What an absolute pleasure to enjoy newer songs and classics from an artists who is truly present with you as he performs. (PS Cheers to Billy for including the Kirsty MacColl verse of A New England. As an audience, we were so horrible at singing along to the chorus that it will always be a delightful memory for me. And RIP Kirsty.)

This was truly one of the best shows I have evr been--in a particular waythis show was not only brilliant music, songwriting and entertainment. It was also, moreso, inspiring, motivating, and activating. Billy Brag is an international treasure, and its an honor to be where he is performing. Another great night at the Vic.

Excellent show for a very good cause, ie Hope Not Hate. Billy was as always superb, as was his son Jack, who, with his band, provided the support. Good venue too.

Enjoyable overall, with great banter between tracks and Billy as genuine as ever. Started with a 40 minute film summarising his career which didn't add a huge amount, then went on a bit long. But a great range of good tracks for him to choose from.

I've been going to Billy Bragg gigs since 1984. This was one of the best. It's kind of what you'd expect when your favourite singer songwriter tips up at your favourite venue and a Saturday night. He never disappoints, and issues thought provoking messages throughout. The music is fantastic. From first song to last, and that encore! He makes you laugh, he makes you think, he makes you cry! Keep going Uncle Bill. We love you!

A Billy Bragg gig is always a special event, but this 40-year celebration at this great venue was something else. We came out on a huge high, activism recharged! Thanks, Billy!

Saw Billy back in 1985 in Long Beach, CA. I was falling in la...la...la...la...la...la...la..la..la...la...love with a girl who did not shave her legs...loved him then and I love him (YOU!) now...

So grateful to have been at not one but all three shows. An amazing three nights of music and stories. Thank you Billy and thank you Troubadour. Also, I am glad to hear that the man that passed out Sunday night was discharged from the hospital and is OK.

Not the first time I have seen Billy and it definitely won't be the last. Some great versions of his classics with some angry new songs as well. As ever his chats between songs energise the crowd. A b****y good sing along!
