Gabriel Night Shield is one of the most dominant Hip Hop artist's in the Midwest. Raised on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, Night Shield made a name for himself few years in the underground, however it wasn't until his 2004 debut album “Kataztrophik” that Night Shield stepped firmly into the foreground. "Kataztrophik" was an instant commercial and critical success garnering “Best Hip Hop” nominations from The Native American Music Awards & Indian Summer Music Awards while garnering radio play across the country. Night Shield’s star took off shortly after the release and has blossomed into one of the most exciting underground Hip Hop artists in the region having received national press from everyone from VIBE Magazine to DC Comics to MTV & USA Today.

In the years since, Night Shield has firmly established himself as a force in the Midwest music scene having won 3 Native American Music Awards, releasing 8 solo albums and a group album. Night Shield was co-host of the popular, but now defunct “Urban Indianz Podcast” and has even dabbled in Stand Up Comedy and made his acting debut in the independent film “Valentine Crush” in 2022.

With hundreds of shows under his belt Night Shield is a seasoned live performer having shared the stage with such legends as Bone Thugs N Harmony, Nelly, Tech N9ne, Wu Tang Clan and more while continuing to perform in support of his most recent album, “Winyans & Mazaska”, which was released in February of 2022. Night Shield is currently hard at work on his new project, "Handsome Ass Devil", which is expected to be released in July 2023.
