Given the name Rock Boy Fresh to Joseph Dessesseau Jr.a.k.a Joe BlacQ (M.C.), in early 2011, the group was initially formed with Gordon Walters (lyricist/piano), and Anthony Jackson. While journeying through the year making their name and message known, the group was re-vamped in 2012 with Joseph Dessesseau Jr., Gordon Walters & Alexandra Alise adopting the band such as Larry Martin (drummer), Josh Boyd (guitar), Byron Walters (bass), accompanying background vocalists: Reco West and Brianna Green to complete the sound of Rock Boy Fresh. Inspired by various genres of music, R.B.F. does not claim one distinctive sound.
