Josephine Sunrise is party rocking acoustic rock/country trio from Billings, MT. Formed in 2012, members Gerrick Phillips, Marco Castro and Bart Barkac developed the project after performing a number of original songs written during “off” days from their full-time cover project “Downtime”.

“We are the dirty, sometimes dark, rock, country type of group that you think of when you think of a bad ass Montanan. We love to add life to parties with our huge….collection of rock, classic rock, country and reggae covers. Our original music has a very “Montana” dark and dirty sound, mixing chords and killer vocal harmonies that are reminiscent of Alice in Chains, Meets Godsmack, Meets Chris Stapleton. We spend most of our working time writing and gigging clubs and breweries throughout Montana and Wyoming. We can accommodate weddings that are looking for a more intimate music feel, private parties of all shapes and sizes and we can rock the hell out of any bar that will have us.”
