This was one of the best and most joyful shows I've ever attended. The choreography, the flow and freedom of movement, the synchronized video presentation, the near perfect musical expression was something special to be a part of. Being there with my son, a huge fan of Byrne, and myself, a fan since the late 70s, was incredible. A multigenerational shared space filled with so much positive emotion, a slice of space and time that I will never forget.

My first time ever seeing David Byrne live and I couldn’t pass up seeing a legend and I’m happy I didn’t. One of the coolest things I have ever seen in my entire life. Unlike any concert I have ever been to. Really love how it wasn’t like a usual concert and how the band moved around the stage with him while wearing their instruments. The visuals and light show were awesome and totally fit the vibe of the songs. Loved all the quirky dance numbers and the little stories David would tell between songs. And David sounded absolutely fantastic. Completely exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely amazing! Oh, it was fantastic! It was like a progression from Stop Making Sense, but lighter, brighter, with more movement. The use of technology is amazing, it makes the band be also the dancers, all very organically. And the guy is such a good human being. Very inspiring. he mixed old somngs from Talking Heads with new songs from later albums, and then also a song I really love, “Independence day” from Rei Momo. It was a dream for me, I never thought he would include it in the set list.

What a show, from start to finish. It was more than just a gig from a great musician. It was a full on show. The whole production was amazing. With the what’s going on in the world at the moment, everyone should go and see this. It will leave you thinking the world can be an amazing now and then.

It is amazing that at 73 David Byrne can go on such a long tour and still give the audience the feeling that he is there just for them. His musicians are superb and also very high energy. The choreography, special effects, and lighting were brilliant and conveyed some very profound messages. Both of his shows in Amsterdam were sold out and I doubt that anyone went home dissatisfied.

Never seen a performance like he does. No chairs all musicians standing dancing and what a great catoluge of music. High energy entire audience standing dancing for 2 hours. Last 4 songs he does the hits from the Talking Head days everyone dancing clapping having a great time!! 5 Star Rating

David’s show was fantastic Most of the attendees in my section did not have common courtesy. I am ok with people standing in front of their seats if they want to dance. Standing just to stand to talk to your buddy and block the people behind you from enjoying the show is just rude The usher at the fox for my section enforced his own rules. Prior to the show David Byrne said in a recording that you could take limited photographs but no videos. My usher enforced his own rules and would not let people take photos.

David Byrne proves that a 73yr old New Wave kid from the 80s didn't just get lucky, but was the very backbone of the Talking Heads and he is still reinventing himself! With an amazing digital background to a constantly moving band, David is fresh and new and filled with non-stop energy!

i stayed true david's suggestion to be as present as possible for the show, so i didn't end up getting many photos or anything — instead, take my favorite portrait of him when he was younger and recontextualize it to where he is in his life & career now... :)

One of the best concerts I've seen. David Byrne's voice has not aged, it was absolutely incredible. The visuals were amazing, choreography was excellent, and the overall message was spot on, BRAVO DAVID. The set list flowed nicely and was driven by bass player Kely Christina, one of the best bassists I've seen in concert in a very long time. I would strongly suggest going out of your way to see this tour. I was pleasantly surprised and blown away.

As advertised, this show is awesome. David narrates his way through his talking heads music and solo hits. The music is very creatively performed with choreography and unique instruments for a great multimedia experiment. The Hudson theater is intimate with perfectly acoustics. Well worth the cost of our premium seats.

David Byrne is amazing! Don’t think of this as just a concert but an experience! David Byrne is amazing & the production is almost beyond description. Perfect set list, amazingly talented dancers give a performance that is mesmerizing. David is still in perfect voice & while he is the star of the show, he consistently allows all the performers (and there are a lot of them) to shine as well. If you have the chance, definitely see this show, you will not be disappointed😀.

Wow. After the intense 45 min electro-loop-bomb dropped by the Tune-yards, David Byrne took things to the next level with his wireless band. Pristine sound, crazy marching band choreography, and plenty of Byrne weirdness! Two great artists that sound great together on tour!

It was great! The sound was great. The stage performance was out of this world. I feel very fortunate to have seen the show last night. It is really something you don’t want to miss. The joy felt throughout the show was wonderful to witness and be a part of.

These people are going to have a good time” Grazie David. Ci voleva un vecchio punk di New York, uno di quelli che il punk lo ha inventato, per far ballare Umbria Jazz. Per ricordarci, a noi compassati italiani, che la musica è prima di tutto divertimento. David è tornato alla sua formula degli anni ‘80: punk misto a prog, con molta dance e world music. Lo ritrovate nell’ultimo bellissimo disco: American Utopia. Di nuovo se stesso, ma sempre nuovo. Uno show curatissimo, nelle coreografie, in ogni gesto e parola. Uno show nuovo, ma che ti trasporta anche indietro di 35 anni, quando ballavi a casa tua, davanti al giradischi e urlavi: “Burning Down the House”. Grazie David: indeed we had a good time.
