So good to welcome Beans on Toast to Aotearoa and Tamaki Makaurau. And he really pulled out the stops. From the first chord he had us in the palms of his hands, singing along abd laughing/crying at his stories. He brought the Tuning Fork to life, its not my favorite venue (I think he'd be great in Whammy, Galstos or Neck of the Woods) but his energy and positivity lifted the spirits no end. Can't wait for the next time, I'll bring my own T-shirt

What a Sunday night! The feeling he can generate in a room is wonderful. Great songs, great anecdotes, fantastic piano player, brilliant duet with his support, it’s all going on. If you haven’t seen him live, do it!

Brilliant day out. Beans on Toast was amazing. So many other top bands on too. Great day out and for a good cause. 5 stars!!!!!

Beans [Beano in Australia] never disappoints; he is always fun, worth listening to and great to sing along with. He is such a genuine, lovely person whom we have seen loads of times from our England time. Beano must return next year...we can't wait. Now to get him to Woodford Folk Festival as well.

Beans is always a fantastic night out, and loved seeing him in this new venue instead of having to travel to Stroud or Bristol!!

As engaging as he always is. Mics for both him and Tensheds sounded a bit woolly but the new songs are good. Looking forward to seeing them receive the full band treatment.

Great night with Beans on top form as usual and always has time for the fans after the gig. Roll on Glastonbury.

Had a great time , it was great to be at the John Peel centre seeing Beans on Toast. Took my 74 year old step mum who had fun too!

Quality gig as per usual. Some cracking stories in between songs. Always happy to stand and chat and sign things afterwards.

Funke and the Two Tone Baby should have been the headline act as far as I am concerned. He is far more talented.

It is Independent Venue Week. So I was back at The Lighthouse to see Beans on Toast... funny, intelligent and talented. His support act, Paisley Mess, were channelling the Isley Brothers with a hint of Jimi Hendrix and a twist of Jamiroquai... a great night and a real demonstration of why we need great independent venues. Next stop The Beat at the Astor theatre and The vibrators at The Lady Luck.
