Angel Karel was 15 when she lived her first electronic music experience. In 2012, this talented DJ producer released her first EP on Krome Records. A first one bringing her playing on many well-known techno scenes in Lyon (Nuits Sonores Festival, Ninkasi, Le Petit Salon, Le Transbordeur, DV1, Annexe...), to become one of the top of mind DJ name of Lyon. In 2016, Angel Karel joined the Particules strong identitive crew, a project made in a new era matching technology and art, to confirm her techno footprint on the local scene, playing next to famous producers like Adam X [Wax Trax], Tommy For Seven [47], or Dax J [Monnom Black], to motion just few of them... Most of the techno crews are booking Angel Karel like PAPA MAMAN to propose her to play the warm up of the great Jeff Mills at Le Transbordeur. In 2017, Angel Karel started her own concept : The Future Is Female, in the most underground club of Lyon, the bunker of Annexe club. Techno parties orchestrated by female artists : from international ones like Denise Rabe [ARTS], to well-known local DJ like Milenà [Jacob] have played next to the founder and artistic director of The Future Is Female. From the very first event, the techno ravers of Lyon looking for freedom have joined the parties of the crew. This committed community drove the crew to propose something radically different from all the existing techno parties in Lyon, at Ninkasi KAO. a A place offering a huge ammount of possibilities for a scenography claiming its total freedom to enjoy a unique experience. Without any gender rule or any identity barreer, it is the launch of [NO GENDER], a first event illustrated by Stephanie Sykes [Fullpanda, 47] and RAG [Barbi(e)turix], invited by Angel Karel.
