After several high school students formed a band in a small church in east Texas - Alive By Sunrise began to spread outside of their church walls to explore what God had in store for their musical career. After their formation and discovery, ABS teamed up with Blade Studios and Mid-city records to release their debut self-titled album Alive By Sunrise in the summer of 2011. The young band enjoyed some regional radio success with their singles “Hero” and “Satisfy” making regional radio across North Louisiana. Satisfy was also featured on an indie compilation album that had nearly 10,000 digital downloads. While the band was continuing to grow they experienced some growing pains after the summer of 2011 with several band members calling it quits. 2012-2013 saw the band growing musically with new members and new musical ideas. As ABS grew they decided to let their music grow and move into a new direction. The band felt that they had drifted from their original reason of playing music, focusing more on the business and less about the music and the message, and in early 2014 wrote and recorded demos for their “Heart of Love EP.” Eventually the band secured the songs for the EP and connected again with Mid-City records and Producer Brady Blade to record and release The Heart of Love Ep in the summer of 2014. The new EP was music from the new members of the band and displayed the growth that ABS had acquired. After 2 years of touring on this EP across the United States, the band connected with Underoath and Paramore drummer Aaron Gillespie, to record another untitled EP expected to be released in mid 2016. Through their growth as a band over the years, they long to spread a message of hope and love to audiences across the world.
