Kostia

Kostia, birth name Konstantin Efirmov, is a new age pianist and composer born in St. Petersburg, Russia.

A gift from his parents, a 1937 Wolkenhauer upright piano, sparked his interest in music. He is formally trained in the Rimsky/Korsakov Conservatory. After completing his training her performed in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia before moving the the United States in the late 1980's.

In this period he signed on with the Narada label and produced solo releases such as Suite St. Petersburg: A Piano Portrait in 1994 and 10 Pebbles in 1996. Three years later he produced a ten track tribute to pop master Elton John on the World Disc label.

Additionally, Kostia has helped arrange music for other fellow Narada recording artists, including David Arkenstone and Michael Gettel. He also performed on Daryl Stuermer's solo release Another Side of Genesis.
