Banks & Shane

Marvelous, stupendous The horns were terrific

How could you not go to a Banks & Shane concert and not have a great time ? I first saw Banks and Shane at the Club they had on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Not sure of the year but it was probably about 1974 or 1975, and was I very impressed with their show. The music was always good but I never saw a band that had the amount of fun and joy they had playing. We went there on more than one occasion, then when they announced they were moving the club to the "Then New" Underground Atlanta, we saw then there several times. Again it was a good time no matter what night we went to see the guys. When they closed Underground, we lost track of them, but life happens and we fell out of their orb, but musically, there was always a Banks and Shane in my musical life. Years later, like last month, my girl friend and I saw Banks and Shane were in the process of touring with their Big Band to Celebrate 50 years as a band and also their Retirement. We just Had to have tickets and see them one last time, and we did this past Friday at Lake Oconee. (Harmony Crossing). The place was packed and the guys were typical Banks & Shane !!!!! I.E. GREAT ! It was a memorable evening of their music, and funny musings from them about their life for the past 50 years as a band. It was a lot of fun with a sad undertone as we watched them say goodbye to their fans and to each other through their music. I feel lucky that Dona and I were a part of that special evening. I want to thank Paul and Banks, Chuck and the other guys who entertained us and taught us to embrace the music, and more importantly, embrace life and friends. Barry Kiefaber

Great show! They sound as good as they did 30 years ago.

Absolutely a great show! Can't believe it has been 50 years!

The show was great. HOWEVER, between the host hotel and the venue, there was no apparent communication - we booked the concert package with the Legacy Lodge hotel. There was no way to contact the venue for info on what was allowed or required, such as would food be available, was seating reserved, did we need to bring chairs, and the hotel was never able to provide any info. The amphitheater, hotel and concert organizers needed to get their act together. The concert was advertised to start at 8:00 pm. but when we arrived we learned it was starting at 7:30. The hotel gave us our tickets and an info sheet at check-in and it was incorrect in stating that shuttle buses would begin leaving at 5:00pm. Luckily we learned at 4:30 that they would actually start running at 6:15, since the theater gates didn’t open until 6:30. Buses over from the hotel were great. Returning was a nightmare. They only ran two small shuttle busses. We and many others waited an hour to catch a shuttle. The y event organization and communications were not very good. On the bright side, the venue was nice, the food was very good - especially the BBQ - and reasonably priced. And of course it was a great show!!! We love Banks and Shane.

Loved every moment! Perfect band, perfect venue, perfect weather, perfect background view of Lake Lanier!

Fantastic

I have been watching Banks and Shane since the 1970`s and they never disappoint. Good quality entertainment.

So much fun ! Hadn’t seen them play in a while. And an extra bonus to be able to catch up with Missy🥰

The show was great! Banks and Shane are always entertaining. They played many songs that were new to me. I’ve followed them for the 40 years I have lived here. Please don’t ever stop playing.

We've been following Banks and Shane for 50 years and they are just the best. What wonderful entertainers. Love how they interact with the audience.

Excellent show!
