Wow, how great it was to hear Boz and his band sit in the blues that was his forte on Friday at Fantasy Springs Casino. Time has not diminished that bluesy edge only burnished it and the songs so deeply felt. When he sang Harbor Lights he touched the place where I think many fans really met him first time. I love Boz and his vulnerable voice, so glad to be in the room with him again. I wish the venue had helped the band more with sound engineering to support a great set of songs, but that's on the house.

Boz is a Perfectionist! His band members are incredible, too. Saw Don McLean on Sunday May 1st in Indianapolis and Boz 3 days later in Sarasota. Two 70's icons. Both venues are small and the shows were amazing. Randy in INDY. Boz was a Perfect 10 and McLean was a strong 8.5.

I live in Pensacola and this was the closest venue Boz was playing for me to travel too. It was a great open air amphitheater with a great atmosphere! It was a cool October evening and the weather was perfect! And Boz just killed it! And hour and a half of a mix of new and old! My guest and I were on our feet the entire time! He had a great opening act as well, whose name I cant recall at the moment! The ONLY draw back I can say was that he had no tour gear for sale. I pride myself in getting tour shirts for all the artist I see in concert, and this was the first time they were not available for sale, either in person, or later online. Other than this minor issue, I loved every minute of it and cant wait to see him again! Thanks Boz!

small venue but good acoustics. He played well and his voice was same as it was 1976. He allowed his other musicians to play parts of the songs outside of his singing they were excellent He played some his hits: Jojo, Harbor lights, lido, lend me a dime.....3 encores!

One of our greatest American artists. Why he is so under appreciated I will never be able to understand. The concert at Ballys in Lake Tahoe was fantastic as usual. When will the acknowledgement and accolades he deserves come? He is so multi talented as a great songwriter, singer and performer. They won't even induct him into the rock and roll hall of fame. i am a HUGE Boz Scaggs fan!!! Boz still has an amazing voice and his back up band was stellar. His set list choices were mind boggling. This is a man that has a discography and library of music that spans decades and has won countless awards. He has 14-16 songs for a show. He chooses three cover tunes, sings a Chuck Berry song for an encore, and sings songs from only four of his albums... two of which had little to no success. Sang nothing from Boz, Boz and Band, Slow Dancer et al... some of his most successful offerings. The majority of the audience was in the 60+ age range who came to hear music that he did not play. I was saddened by the number of people who got up and walked out of the show only half way through. I get it. The man is 72 years old and he can play and sing anything he wants. He's BOZ SCAGGS!!! It's just sad that he didn't play the music that people have loved for decades. With all that said, I am glad I went to see him. Probably his last tour.

Amazing! He still has it at 79!! We have seen Boz and his band over 10+ times and this was perhaps the best sounding arrangement of musicians we have seen. The band was tight & responsive, & sounded great. Loved the new saxophone, keyboardist, etc.. from Minneapolis!! He was terrific & really added a new dimension to a number of Boz classics. Thank you Boz!!! 💖

The show was outstanding!! Keb Mo opened he was great, he and his band were the perfect choice and complement to Boz Scaggs and his band. At 79 years old, Boz sounds as good as he ever has. He played a great selection of his hits and had the crowd moving. Didn’t want to show to end!

Thanks for an excellent evening. You and your band did not disappoint. You were excellent as usual. I’m 81 and still rockin to your music. I’ve been waiting 60 years to see you in person Long stretch but I was thrilled to see you in person again. I lived in Chicago then and continued to listen to your music. Rock on Boz. Still the greatest.

Boz Scaggs, with an opening act of Elvin Bishop and Charlie Musselwhite at Sand Mountain Amphitheater, was a spectacular concert. Boz’s voice was clear, strong, pure, and virtually flawless! His band is second to none! Sand Mountain Amphitheater is a world class venue! It has a small stage, intimate feeling with big stage sound! The management and team that support the venue are genuinely customer focused and make every effort to see that every patron need is met!

Show was great! The whole band is amazing!Disappointed that he didn’t play Sierra or We’re All Alone. And VERY disappointed that, due to the placement of the soundboard in the seating area, the Carnegie Music Hall reassigned our seats and moved us back two rows and one seat was partially obstructed by a pillar. I was very particular when choosing my $100 pp seats and would have chosen other seats if that was what I was going to get.

Boz turned out great. Started off with what seemed a dull microphone, seemed that improved somewhat yet perhaps that was the bourbon helping. Could have been the speakers? Or perhaps poor acoustics in the old beaten up Chevalier Theater. Enjoyed nonetheless. He’s not a showman pizzazzy rocker yet he’s a strong talent with an impressive history. Performs with about 7 very talented and humble musicians, with one in particular that impressively play’s about every instrument. The venue was likely sold out. Could have chosen a larger far better space at a lessened ticket price. The Chevelier Theater is in need of a major overhaul. Seats are so tight you can’t cross a leg even if you’re skinny. Bathrooms are so narrow, you have to do the Lido Shuffle to get to a urinal. There was even an old cus complaining another fellow bumped him to get to the next urinal. Bar situation was also tight and event staff were literally playing traffic control in the narrow and chaotic space. Bartenders were great getting out orders timely. Upon the exit, we were very surprised that there were only the top 2-exits open. No side doors open and had there have been a fire or other emergency, it could have been catastrophic. Very surprised it wasn’t a fire Marshall violation. Took nervingly long to filter out. Boz was best at his blues. Never played, “Georgia”😤Remarkable for his age. Check that Mic !!! 🎙️

Really disappointed not to hear one of my 2 favorite songs. We're all alone nor look what you've done to me. Miss girl backups too. Not a bad show. Just not what I went for. Pace was good. Lots of songs which amazed me they couldn't fit one in. Fast change over of guitars lighting good. Volume low at times on vocals. Too Amy tempo similar numbers. I get the intent but too narrow. Ditch Miss whatever the bass song. Bad song.

This was our second Boz Scaggs concert. We also attended one last fall in Omaha. While we thoroughly enjoyed that show, this one was even better. There were a couple of personnel changes in the band, but they were tight together. Everyone played well; not one of them ever disappointed. Boz was much more comfortable on stage, after a year of touring since Covid. The set list was excellent, including six songs from his masterpiece album "Silk Degrees," and the renditions were all spot on. The audience was very appreciative, and was rewarded with two encores of two songs each.

Great show! Boz Scaggs is a cool dude and that’s reflected in his performance. It’s great how he steps back from the spot light to ensure the musicians receive the recognition they deserve. Great band and a great show. I could’ve listened all night. My dream is to get to sing with Boz, but if it never happens, I’ll still enjoy listening to him!

Boz Scaggs 7/28/22 “Here’s the ‘Lowdown’, billed as the ‘Out Of The Blues’ tour it was my first time seeing William Royce ‘Boz’ (short for the nickname Bosley given by a classmate) Scaggs. To say I was super-excited is by no means an understatement, I can vividly recall my ‘Lido Shuffle’ 45 spinning on the turntable (Columbia records, sunburst orange/yellow, B-side We’re All Alone) circa 1977. The show itself was a sell-out and on its second reschedule, tickets originally having gone on sale back in February of 2020. Sufficient to say, we waited long enough! I made my way to row 5 in the Peace Center, Greenville SC, one of the premier venues for acoustics within my 125 mile concert traveling radius (Atlanta to Charlotte). The stage set up was straightforward, mic’d up vintage amps, a Fender Rhodes with alto and soprano sax stands stage left, drums stage right, congas/percussion (with various hand instruments in the center), a front lit curtain illuminated by a single stage length light bar and NO video screens. The band took the stage promptly at 7:30, Scaggs saluting the audience ‘Greenville I remember you’ and opening with a ‘What Can I Say / JoJo’ two fer. The set list consisted of 18 songs/2 hours spanning his entire 49 year recording career (1969 to 2018), simply put we got rock, blues, jazz, and even some soul/disco. ‘Here’s a song for your neighbors next door’, introed a flawless performance of ‘Georgia’, a surprise substitution in the setlist in lieu of ‘Desire’. Boz definitely still has what it takes on guitar laying down the lead part on the bluesier numbers: Some Change, Radiator 110, and Loan Me A Dime. Guitarist Mike Miller (Chick Corea plus appearances on hundreds of studio albums) hit the bullseye on the classic solos. Willie Weeks with an equally impressive resume nailed it on bass. It became clear, Boz doesn’t compromise when it comes to musicians. There were two encore sets which included the hits, ‘Lowdown’ and ‘Breakdown Dead Ahead’. Both had the crowd up on their feet, Boz commenting, ‘You guys are rough it’s not even the weekend!’ He even commented on the great quality of sound that the venue brought out. Even the merch table itself was unique in that it included vintage tour shirts for sale (1976 and 1978) plus assorted vinyl. In conclusion the 78 year old Scaggs (who exercises his vocal cords before every show) sounds exactly like he did in the 70’s, if not better! Ticket prices $45-75, well worth the investment when he comes to your town!” by DAve (Concert #680)

The theatre was quaint. The sound system was phenomenal! Boz didn’t want to stop playing since the sound was awesome. He did 3 encores and I think the audience could have listened all night. He played most of his greatest hits, and threw in a couple they don’t normally play because they were enjoying the theatre’s ambience so much. It was a fantastic night.

My friends, that I gave my tickets to because I'm out of town, completely enjoyed the show. My problem is with the promotion, while playing up Boz's time in the Steve Miller Band, it made it seem (to me, at least) Steve Miller would be performing as well. Did anyone else make that mistake? Steve Miller and Boz Scaggs coheadlining would be incredible, unfortunately, that's what I thought would be happening.

Mr. Skaggs was great, as usual. However, the VIP section was a joke (venue’s fault). I seriously regretted spending 2-3x the regular ticket cost for “VIP” tickets so far to the right you could barely see the stage. I would’ve rather taken my chances at General Admission. At least we would’ve been in front of stage instead of so far to the right. We could barely see Mr. Skaggs perform. Fortunately, the music was great!!!

So great to see 6 great musicians at the top of their game playing through several genre's (Pop, disco, jazz, R&B, Blues and Rock) with such virtuosity. Boz's voice was easy, bluesy, engaging, beautiful. They played a 30 minute encore dipping into roots blues and R&B classics. No fog, no light show, no BS. JUST GREAT MUSIC PLAYED BY EXCELLENT MUSICIANS AND SINGERS.
