I have seen this duo many times, but this was a new and especially intimate venue that suited them well. I had the good fortune to sit in the front row which made it even more special. The afternoon performance was wonderful, and I had the chance to speak to Natalie after it was over.

Lively and lovely

It was simply great, I have followed them for some time and in person they were incredibly personable, demonstrated remarkable skills, and played incredibly beautiful as well as moving music. Sounds were a mix of crisp, melodic, and at times mischievous collaborations from two musicians who knew one another incredibly well. I would recommend spending an evening with Alasdair and Natalie any time, wished they lived closer so I could make such a journey more often.

Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas were masterful as always: fun, engaging, attuned, and superb artists of the fiddle and cello. They're the best! The opera house is a great venue, but come early for good general admission seating.
