Sobre Aleksander Dębicz

Aleksander Dębicz
Aleksander Dębicz – pianist, composer, arranger, and music director – is one of the most versatile and innovative artists of the Polish music scene. He is the creator of the original style cinematic classical, blending classical music, film narrative, and improvisation, which he introduced on his debut album Cinematic Piano (Warner Classics, 2015).
His work includes pieces for solo piano, chamber ensembles, orchestras, as well as theater and film music. In 2025, two of his major compositions premiered: Unity, commissioned by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute to mark Poland’s presidency of the EU Council, performed at Flagey in Brussels, and 1025, written for the millennium of Bolesław the Brave’s coronation, presented in Poland’s largest cathedrals. He is also the winner of the international Bridgerton Scoring Competition (2022).
For years he has collaborated with countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński, with whom he created the project #LetsBaRock, awarded the O!Lśnienia prize in the classical music category as well as the audience award. Together, they also serve as artistic directors of the Break in Classic festival, held in the baroque palace of Otwock Wielki, presenting classical music in a modern, open format.
Dębicz has released seven solo albums on Warner Classics and has been nominated for six Fryderyk Awards. He performs worldwide, appearing both with major orchestras and at popular music festivals. As an arranger and music director, he has collaborated with many distinguished artists, consistently merging tradition with modernity.
