Spangled are Ben Johnson, Jamie Halliday, Niall McGovern and Joe Kilroy - an indie rock four-piece who came up through Manchester's DIY scene and cut their teeth on the city's own records. Lately they've been crafting a heavier sound, drawing influence from The Hives, Viagra Boys and Arctic Monkeys, while still leaving room for a chorus a thousand people can shout back.

Now newly signed to independent label This Feeling Records / LAB, the band arrive with over a million streams, no album out, and a sold-out O2 Ritz in their hometown behind them - all of it built independently. New music lands before the end of 2026, with a UK tour to follow. The band have also just come back from a writing retreat in Wales, where work began on their debut album. 2027 is bigger again - their first US shows, EU dates to come, and another massive hometown show on the cards.
