nested for rest

Nested For Rest is an Alternative Indie Electro-Pop Rock project that focuses on conceptual, narrative based storytelling through their albums, singles, music videos, and musical films.

Hailing from Hampton Roads Virginia, Nested For Rest can be found performing shows in a myriad of styles; whether it be solo, acoustic, or with a full band.

The only current official member of the band is Jay Payne (who is also the project’s creative lead and primary producer), but he receives help bringing Nested For Rest to life with a collaborative group of fellow musician friends and artists.

Nested For Rest released its first album ‘Realign’ in April of 2024, which was later accompanied by animated visualizers and an animated music video for the single ‘Time’ (directed by Jay Payne and animated by Alexander Vargas)

Nested For Rest’s new EP ‘it’s just a bad dream.’ releases later this year.
