Deejay Young is an award-winning singer/songwriter, actor, & performer, hailing from Tampa, Florida.

Getting his start at the young age of 5 on gospel-theatrical circuit, he’s now blossomed into a multi-faceted artist, having performed all over the world at places like Radio City Music Hall & Kobe World Hall in Japan. In 2019 he joined the 1st Nat’l Tour of the hit-musical HAMILTON as a principal standby & made his Broadway debut as Aaron Burr in 2023.

Young has has worked with many artists across genres, including Grammy Winners: Yolanda Adams, & superstar duo, Mary Mary, who hand chose him, along with television network, WeTV to perform at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans as the 2014 Raise Your Voice Contest winner.

Young joined Team Legend on Season 24 of NBC’s The Voice, singing a Maxwell inspired rendition of “This Woman’s Work” by Kate Bush, which was well received by critics.

His most recent albums: Primitive & live album The Primitive Sessions: Live both debuted on the Top 10 R&B/Soul US Albums Chart & his Holiday album, An Unplugged Christmas was an Amazon Music Top Holiday Albums seller upon release.

For his discography, Young has garnered 4 Independent Music Awards & 2 Contemporary Acapella Recording Awards, as well as a Tampa Bay Theatre & two-time Broadway World Winner for his contributions to regional theatre.
