SJV & LA-based storytelling duo, Edgar Aguilasocho (aka “Eddy Eagles”) and Adam De León, have slowly assembled the puzzle pieces of this rock’n’art project for over a decade. For Eddy, a drive to conduct this sort-of exorcism through storytelling led him to the seedier reaches of the web in search of a collaborator. Searching for Sancho he found Adam.
From 2011 to 2013, Eddy and Adam recorded and toured as “Dead Quixote,” at times joined by Dave Virginia on bass and Kyle Todd on guitar. Appearing at various stages as a duo, trio, or quartet, Dead Quixote stumbled through many Southern California dives, including: Hollywood’s Whiskey a Go Go, Long Beach’s Prospector, Anaheim’s World Famous Doll Hut, and least famously, Costa Mesa’s Avalon Bar, where it hosted a month-long residency. During its time together, Dead Quixote put out two minor releases: 2011’s “Absurdity” and 2012’s “Green Star.” In April 2012, Dead Quixote was OC Weekly’s featured “Locals Only” band. Dead Quixote played its final show on February 9, 2013, a send-off for Eddy as he made his way over the Grapevine in pursuit of that Quixote lifestyle.
2020 saw Eddy and Adam’s return, ready to finish that puzzle - now as “Radio La Mancha.” May 10, 2020 RLM saw the completion of RLM’s debut full-length album - Volume I: Valentine.
