Odette Michell is a multi-award-winning British singer-songwriter, guitarist and bouzouki player with a rich foothold in the folk tradition. In 2019, Odette released her debut album The Wildest Rose to positive acclaim followed by an extensive tour and a string of live interviews. The album featured notable musical contributions from Phil Beer (Show of Hands), and Toby Shaer (Cara Dillon, Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys), and was named by fRoots Magazine as "one of the stand-out debuts of 2019".

Odette has twice won the prestigious Female Artist Of The Year award, at both the 2025 and 2019 FATEA Awards, and was touted as one of RNR Magazines Top Picks. In 2020 Odette was nominated for a Rising Star Award at the Folking Awards and that same year was invited to perform at Celtic Connections as part of the legendary Danny Kyle Open Stage.

A dynamic and prolific live performer, Odette has performed alongside the likes of Show of Hands and Seth Lakeman, and opened for folk legends Martin Carthy, Phil Beer, Nancy Kerr, Boo Hewerdine and Reg Meuross amongst others.

Odette accompanies herself on guitar, bouzouki and the occasional accordion, touring both solo and as a duo with accompaniment from BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award Finalist Charlie Wild, as well as with her two trio collaborations The Honeybees, and Michell, Pfeiffer & Kulesh. Odette's much anticipated second studio album 'The Queen of the Lowlands' was released in June 2025 to critical acclaim, reaching Number 25 in the Official Folk Albums Chart with its singles receiving multiple airtime plays on both BBC Radio 2's The Folk Show with Mark Radcliffe and BBC Radio 3.
