Sobre Fiona O'Shea
Emerging from the depths of the music world is the vibrant talent of Fiona O'Shea, whose compelling voice and prolific song writing are redefining the boundaries of rock-infused country. O'Shea's journey into the world of music ignited at a tender age, when she began crafting her compositions with just three guitar chords. Her stage presence is a mesmerizing tapestry that weaves together influences from legends like John Prine and Led Zeppelin, seamlessly blending her original creations with classics from the likes of the Rolling Stones, Stevie Nicks, and Sheryl Crow.
In 2010, O'Shea unveiled her debut EP, "Rose," swiftly earning a coveted spot on the AMRAP charts. Over the ensuing years, her ardour for music continued to flourish, earning her accolades as a finalist in the MUSICOZ Australian Independent Awards and landing her in the second round of the APRA Professional Development Awards.
O'Shea's prodigious talent became increasingly undeniable, culminating in a publishing contract with James Donaldson Publishing Groups in the United States in 2014. A pivotal moment came in 2015 when she showcased her skills at the Turn Up - Sunshine Coast Music Industry's Conference, cementing her status as a prominent singer-songwriter in the country rock genre.
The apex of O'Shea's career arrived in 2020 with the release of her EP "Walk Like A Giant." The single "Big Bang" soared into the top 10 of the AMRAP regional charts, marking a milestone achievement. In 2021, her single "Build Me A House" made an impressive debut at #10 on the iTunes Singles Country Chart, leading her to collaborate with acclaimed producer Peter Koppes (The Church) and accomplished musician Jackie Barnes.
In 2022, O'Shea inked a distribution deal with Rock This Country Records and secured funding from the Sunshine Coast Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), allowing her to release three new singles: "Falling Off Getting Back On," "Black Jack," and "High High High." These tracks, combined with her existing repertoire, earned her coveted spots at festivals and events across Australia, including the Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, and residencies on Heron Island and in Outback Queensland. She also had the privilege of supporting acts like Dirty Rascal (Melbourne), Jerry Speiser (Men At Work), Adam Brand & The Outlaws, and Bill Chambers.
Fiona O'Shea is an undeniable powerhouse in the country rock scene, poised for an ascendant journey propelled by her distinctive blend of heart, soul, and rock 'n' roll.
