What a terrific show! All the band were in fine form, but special MVP commendations go to Tom Brislin, on keyboards, whose tasty fills and leads both honoured the band's recorded history and allowed him to flash his own estimable chops, and Joe Deninzon on violin, who just blew the roof off of Massey Hall! So great!

The longevity of this band is amazing. Through every lineup change they hit a grand slam. Steve Walsh is a legend, but Ronnie Platt has made it his own and was amazing. Missed Billy Greer and wish Phil Ehart a full recovery. Both were filled in for more than admirably.

Had tickets to see Kansas back in 2020 but the pandemic made that a no go. Wish I had as they’re now down to 1 original member (Phil Ehart). That being said the show was great. They started out with a lot of 80’s songs for about the first 45 minutes and then Phil came out for The Wall and they kicked it into gear with a greatest hits parade. The sound was really good and I flashed back to the 70’s when they made real music. Show was about 2:10 and audience was really into it as the musicianship was impeccable which kansas is known for. I will definitely see them again if and when they come back.

I LOVE the Orpheum. I LOVE Kansas. Althought there were only two long term / original members, they sounded like Kansas! The singing was excellent! The musicianship even better. The keyboard player was awesome. The violinist was incredible! Their sound was as good as any version of Kansas.

It was outstanding. I love the Ryman. The staff are courteous and helpful. The lighting for the show was great. The sound was top notch. The Band was spectacular. They re accomplished musicians who write and perform beloved songs that make me feel nostalgic. My husband and I did a lot of cannoodling to Kansas music in our youth. I loved it!

The venue was just the right size for an intamite enviornment, to share their very last show of the tour together with a host of fan's. Everyone seemded to really have a great time and I am so glad to have attended and have a warm memory of a childhood band with so many memories. THANK YOU KANSAS for an amazing trip down memory lane, together.

Billed as the ‘Point Of Know Return Tour’ with the album played in it’s entirety I got myself psyched for this one! In actually it was the 4th anniversary of the 40th anniversary tour the classic album released in late 1977 delayed (another residual effect of the pandemic). Being my fourth time seeing the band since my maiden voyage back in the 70’s with the original crew of Walsh, Livgren, Steinhart, Williams, Hope & Ehart, there was naturally a slight trepidation on my behalf. That quickly changed! Entering the auditorium en route to the 6th row the stage set caught my attention. There were 4 pub style barstools a forefront two keyboard platforms L&R, a drum platform center-stage with dual bass drums adorning the albums classic dragon artwork (heads inward). I knew I was not going to experience a greatest hits set (okay by me) thanks to one nay-sayer online quoting, ‘save your money for a good tribute band’. The lights went down to an acoustic set highlighting the vocal magnificence Kansas has fine tuned which charted the course for a three-set, 20 song, 2 hour show which included content from 8 of their 16 studio albums spanning 48 years. Fact is you cant play them all so I give the set list my thumbs-up. A backdrop which seemed to be a derivation of the ‘Vinyl Confessions’ album art with images of speakers superimposed over a LP highlighting the classic KANSAS logo appeared. Bar stools removed it was a full on rock show, veterans Phil Ehart 71 (drums) and Rich Williams 72 (guitar) with Billy Greer (bass since ’85) kept everything afloat. ‘Good evening and welcome to Kansas’ Greer announced, ‘Did you bring your Saturday night energy with you?’ A ‘good to see you Phil’ resounded back from somewhere mid-audience! Ronnie Platt (vocals) hit all the high notes with absolute perfection, when he wasn’t behind the mike or keys he was conducting the band with his hands or playing one or more ‘air instruments’. When it came to ‘Point’, a heavy album on violin, David Ragsdale (since ’91) did an outstanding job on Stienhart’s compositions (think ‘Hopelessly Human’)! There were a couple changes to the setlist, the addition of ‘Hold On’, and ‘Can I Tell You’ from their first album which the band ‘dusted off’ for this show was subbed out for ‘Song For America’! It was my first time at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium and I was very impressed by the sound quality, it was one of the only rock shows I could make out every word. A quick word about merch: Kudos to Kansas for $30 official tour shirts, just goes to show that other bands demanding $55 is not supply and demand but more like robbery! by DAve (Concert #655)

My first KANSAS concert and was thoroughly impressed with the performance. Also,the venue is smaller than other places and the sound was expertly mixed to perfection. The new songs they performed from "The Absence of Presence" blended in nicely with the classics Prog is Back in a big way and you don't want to miss them when they come to your town.

Great performance by a well seasoned group of musicians. All except Phil Ehart showed they loved what they do, the fans & the audience. Not sure what’s going on with him, but it seems consistent looking back over various concert & greet photos. Nevertheless, a great concert by a great group keeping it alive!

It was a dream come true not even exaggerating the entire band was nice an had an awesome sense of humor. Not to mention that they are amazing when they play live . It is definitely one of my most favorite memories I am crazy filled with joy. I will brag about this concert for many many many years ...

Kansas lost might in Tucson Az was FANTASTIC! They sound better than ever! Phil & Richard (the two original band members remaining) have really hit a home run with this group of extremely talented musicians! I can't find the words of praise high enough for this band. And the cherry on top, their lead singer Ronnie Platt, can sing the heck out of all the old & new songs... almost as good as Steve Walsh originally recorded them! can sing the heck out

Kansas Point of no Return concert at the Au Rene Theatre in Ft . Lauderdale was awesome. Kansas founding member and drummer Phil Ehart drum performance was a classic. The other founding member Rich Williams was perfect on his guitar performance. The bands final encore of “Carry on my Wayward Son” brought the house down. Thanks Kansas for coming to Ft.Lauderdale with this mind blowing performance!!

Simply an incredible show showcasing a nice variety of ‘deep cuts’ in addition to the entire Point if Know Return album. The band sounds every bit as tight as they do on their records, Ronnie is 100% up to the vocal challenge of Kansas’s music (which cannot be easy to sing) and the guys just seem to be really enjoying themselves yet still very passionate about the music. Simply a super entertaining show and an absolute must for any true Kansas fan.

What incredible musicians, amazing musicianship. I DON’T say that lightly. These guys, to be fair, regardless of lineup, have always been either overlooked or under appreciated for the masterful writing AND playing they consistently deliver. After what might be considered today’s “core” members of Kansas wanted so badly to continue making music after their last album 16 years ago, they were not met with the same excitement to “carry on”. Original singer Steve Walsh decided once again, and once and for all, that he was finished with the intensity required and was going to stay semi-retired from the demands of the career and instead wanted to write and record music or perform a “one-off” show only when he wished. The same can essentially be said of both original founding members Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope. So, the others formed a band they called ’Native Window’. That was helpful in that it kept the existing band playing and at least casually open to a new singer in the VERY, VERY rare instance that one should come along who sounds just like Steve Walsh or John Elefante, or a hybrid somewhere therein. To me, and EVERYONE I could hear around me at the show, Ronnie Platt amazingly sounds like both of them. And live, he sounds the best of all three. And that REALLY says something because all three of these singers are authentically world class and are each capable of stepping into a Broadway Opera, learning the parts and not having one person question their rightful place there. As far as THIS SHOW, wow!! All the way through, wow! Everyone sounded spot-on. I have personally seen Kansas live over four eras since about 1980. This was the best sounding show I have seen and heard them play. And while I hope I’ve made it clear that Ronnie Platt has won me over, I believe drummer Phil Ehart is criminally underrated as one of the world’s original progressive style, outrageously talented virtuoso, uniquely interesting, heavy-hitting and downright thunderous drummers ANYWHERE in Rock Music! KANSAS WERE SIMPLY AWESOME!

Incredible show! Kansa is my favorite band of all time and they really nailed it!! Tighter than ever since The Steve Walsh, Kerry Livgren , Dave Hope and Robbie Steinhart Days! Chicago Theatre a beautiful place to see and the acoustics were perfect! Great time! Thank you Kansas!! Time for the Hall of Fame now!!

Kansas current line up includes two original members and other very seasoned musicians that delivered an incredible musical and visual concert that sounded very much like the original line up. The show started with a sort of unplugged set, followed by a set mixed of all eras of the band, and entire, “Point Of No Return” album from start to finish. The band played for over two hours and did not disappoint. I definitely recommend catching this current tour!

I would have given this concert five stars, but couldn’t get the last star to fill! My husband and I had a great time! Starting out with an acoustic set was a great idea. We also really liked the prelude to “Carry On Wayward Sun. “Leftoverature” has always been my favorite Kansas album, so I was thrilled to hear it in its entirety. Great concert!

This was the best show I've seen in decades! This band Kansas is timeless in its music and performs every night like it was 1974 and their career was just taking off. Fresh sound and talent like non other! Horseshoe is the best venue for concerts in the area!

I don't know What i expected-but it wasn't this!Seeing Walsh halfway there at Sweden Rock Festival some years ago, didn't raise the bar too high. He MUCH more than made up for it tonight. Vocals, showmanship, enthusiasm; it was all there. Great comments from Billy Greer between tunes - they'll be back, fer sure - they apparantly took a 14 hour bus trip thru the best of Norway - northeast to southwest - & STILL managed to deliver a stunning set to pleasantly surprised Norwegians. The sheer craftmanship of Phil Ehart surprised many a Norse Dream Theater fan, whilst never breaking out into an epileptic "peart"-attack. Billy Greer & the intricate melodies of David Ragsdale held the band together, glued with the steady riffing of Richard Williams, whilst at times, Steve Walsh bloomed like there's no tomorrow.Sadly, there isn't, for him & Kansas. My nephew, Morten, who's a newbie, found "Portrait" & "Carry On" as highlights.Me? Well, although "Freaks" & "In The Spirit..." wasn't represented, gotta say that Steve OWNED "Hold On", "Dust.." & "Miracles...".At times, it was sorta like KANSAS was Walsh's (although VERY competent) backing band.Rumors saying that Steve's not that keen anymore, are LIES. He pours heart & soul into it, & THEN some.REJOYCE, Gothenburg & Stockholm!!!
