Honey Son

An underground, homegrown indie soul artist.

Honey Son is the brainchild of songwriter/producer/vocalist Mars Wright. Sometimes stripped down ballads. Sometimes ambient noise. Sometimes jazz. Always an embrace.

"Experimental" is the loose goal, though his avant-garde composition and trippy art-school tendencies always remain grounded—playfully at war with soulful, layered R&B vocals in delicate melodies.

At a live show, a toolkit of loopers, samplers, guitars, synths and effects lay bed of warmth to complement sweet, syrupy crooning. Close your eyes, here come the harmonies. (No, really. Close 'em.)

He’s shared a bill with the likes of Saul Williams, Samiyam, Puma Blue, and Shinyribs—to name a few.
