WATCH OUT STAMPEDE have been painting the country’s stages red since 2011 – and can already look back on quite a few highlights in their band history, having successfully released two studio albums (REACHER, 2014 and TIDES, 2015) and played shows at Reload Festival or the infamous Wacken Open Air. Marked by banging breakdowns, angry shouts, crystal clear refrains and a poppy songwriting, these five guys from Bremen have defined their very own musical style – and anyone who doesn’t feel like moshing along must be deaf! At the same time, the lyrics are really worth a closer listen (or glance): Hidden away behind the party sound, one will find some expressive texts, proving that WATCH OUT STAMPEDE have their finger on the pulse of the time, virtually en passant commenting on current affairs.
With SVTVNIC the bustling quintet is putting yet another log in the fire: This third studio album (Rel. 03/24/2017) is the band’s most brutal and likewise most melodic oeuvre, eclectic and multifarious. Vicious guitar walls and the tight interplay of bass and drums leave nothing to be desired in terms of hardness, with pianos and strings adding a beautiful harmonic layer to the sound. Thematically WATCH OUT STAMPEDE are once more attending to the state of the world and the globaloney greeting us day by day from colorful screens, refraining from any moralizing undertone. For those, who name an album SVTVNIC only to adorn it with a colorful fantasy flower, know: Our world is more complex than it may seem at first sight – and WATCH OUT STAMPEDE encounter it with their very own combination of severity and folly, heaviness and harmony.

Seit 2011 machen WATCH OUT STAMPEDE die Bühnen der Republik unsicher – und können mit zwei erfolgreichen Albumveröffentlichungen (REACHER, 2014 und TIDES, 2015) und Shows beim Reload Festival oder auf dem legendären Wacken Open Air bereits eine ganze Reihe an Highlights in ihrer Bandgeschichte verbuchen. Mit knallenden Breakdowns, wütenden Shouts, glasklaren Refrains und einem poppigen Songwriting haben die fünf Bremer ihren ureigenen, mitreißenden Stil gefunden – wer da nicht mitmoshen will, muss taub sein! Doch es lohnt sich auch, ein Ohr (oder einen Blick) auf die Texte zu werfen, verbergen sich hinter dem partytauglichen Sound doch meinungsstarke Lyrics am Puls der Zeit, mit denen WATCH OUT STAMPEDE scheinbar en passant mit wachen Augen das Weltgeschehen um uns herum kommentieren.
Mit SVTVNIC legt das umtriebige Quintett nun nach: Das dritte Studioalbum (VÖ 24.03.2017) ist das bisher brutalste und zugleich melodischste Werk der Bremer, vielschichtig und facettenreich: Wütende Gitarrenwände und das tighte Zusammenspiel von Bass und Drums lassen in punkto Härte keine Wünsche offen; Pianos und Streicher geben dem Sound eine neue Fülle und runden die zehn Songs harmonisch ab. Thematisch befassen sich WATCH OUT STAMPEDE auf SVTVNIC abermals mit dem realen Irrsinn, der uns alltäglich aus bunten Bildschirmen entgegenflimmert. Ganz ohne erhobenen Zeigefinger. Denn wer ein Album SVTVNIC nennt und es dann mit einer bunten Fantasieblume ziert, weiß: Unsere Welt ist komplexer, als es auf den ersten Blick scheinen mag – und WATCH OUT STAMPEDE begegnen ihr mit ihrer ganz eigenen Mischung aus Ernst und Unsinn, Härte und Harmonie.
