Wack Cheddar is a band based out of Philadelphia fusing elements of funk, rock, jazz and pop together. The group draws inspiration from artists such as James Brown, Roy Hargrove, Steely Dan, and Tower of Power. They are led by drummer and composer John Venezia. Wack Cheddar's music is driven by a dynamic three piece horn section complimented by an energetic, hard hitting rhythm section. The group is consists of musicians from both Philadelphia and New York. Venues the band has played includes Chris's Jazz Cafe, Kimmel Center, Bourbon and Branch, Midtown Festival, Fergie's Pub etc. The group has also played venues in NYC such as Rockwood Music Hall, Desmonds Tavern, Silvanas, Shrine Music Cafe, and many more.
