Sobre Christopher Gale

OSO began out of the rubble of Volta Do Mar in 2003. Amid jet fuel acoustic guitar unicycle hitch hiking, Phil begins writing songs that will be recorded in different continental locales eventually assembled into the album 48507 (a homage to family and musical wellspring in flint). Phil met Tim, another Michigan local from the up in Santa Barbara. (Tim bought Phil fish tacos when he had no money, the beginning of their musical partnership). Things accelerated, they started playing with Andrew, whom Phil met at a mental health facility where they both worked, where Phil set to the monumental task of assembling 1,100 individualized bee's waxed album covers, amid asbergers interactions and kickball games. Nick soon joined, making them a sprawling quartet. They played a handful of shows before a six month hiatus. Phil left for Africa, played programs with the Gambian national army band, traveling by military transport truck, did a solo tour in the UK opening for OXES, and worked with a guerilla movement theatre contingent while living in London.

Phil returned to Santa Barbara in October 2005, the OSO collective music connection was still strong and vital. They began recording an album, which they finished in November 06. Amid relentless collective musical concentrations, they just returned from a 2 1/2 week spring tour that brought them to Seattle, Chicago, and back through the southwest. With unprecedented collective facility, wild energy, unicycle/guitar virtuosity, and autism inspired discipline, they are training for uncertain futures.

They finished their second album Lonesome Tunnel Hum These Strong Arm Drones, recorded by Tim in Santa Barbara in December '06. In 2008, OSO joined with Team Busambala to produce their third album, Kuno Esama. Also recorded by Tim, the album is now available directly through the band.
