amazing show, small venue, huge talent, Michael always brings it💪🏼

A refreshingly intimate show considering this guy was galloping around stadiums with Queens only last week. The venue felt in touch, with guest lists of names on the door, and a simple wristband for admission. Glu himself connected with an undeniable s**y swagger, a pulsating backing track, and some fantastically raw guitar riffs. Snapping strings and some onstage laughs were welcome to see behind the facade of shades and darkness. It's great to see an artist of this calibre preform with passion for his own projects. The titans of Queens felt like a distant memory in the small Rough Trade intimacy. Which also gives the show its charm of how such a tight knit crowd got to enjoy something really special tonight. The set jumped around his 2 released EP's with the iconic 'Crush' Cover sounding much more punchy live. Highlights such as 'Night Shift' and 'Boogie Man' really resonated. The set was punchy in length too. Not dragged out or too long. The hour performance felt like the perfect amount of time to shake loose and transport somewhere genuinely alluring. I hope future tours will continue to harness this intimacy.

GLU was great. Unfortunately the venue was a let down. The tickets and all comms stated the event would be in the pink room, up a flight of stairs. 45 minutes of almost all attendees queueing there, directed by the door staff, and asking the bar staff. We ended up having to call the venue to speak to management to learn the gig had moved down to the basement with NO communication anywhere. Immensely frustrating!

Amazing show in a super chill venue. Unbelievable to have the chance to see a talent like this in such an intimate setting. The music is phenomenal and such great vibes. If you have a chance to see GLU before it blows up do it! He played some unreleased songs and I can for sure see a number 1 hit in GLU’s future.
