Los Angeles based writer/producer duo MIKNNA is cultivating what can best be described as a sonic excursion with their electro R&B style that blurs genres and fuses together retro-futuristic sounds for a blissful escape rooted in nostalgia. Comprised of producer and multi-instrumentalist Ken Nana and rapper/vocalist Mike B., the duo transports listeners to a futuristic-yet-contemporary world with influences ranging from sci-fi classics such as “Blade Runner” and “Drive” to Daft Punk, Frank Ocean, Hall & Oats, Michael Jackson and The Neptunes. Officially joining forces in 2016, the duo released their introductory EP, 50/50 (Side A), after garnering early support through Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist. In 2017, they embarked on their debut headline tour across North America & Europe playing to sold out crowds, refining their live performance while each lending their respective talents as songwriters/producers to artists including Anderson .Paak’s band, Free Nationals, JID, VanJess, Big K.R.I.T. and Far East Movement. The two went on to bring their vintage, mood ring aesthetic to life, full of contemporary rap stylings, retro 80s analog production and soulful melodies, with their debut album Escape in 2019.
