This band was formed out of friendship, love, hard work, and dreams in Buffalo New York one fateful night when Mitch Moran went from fan to professional musician as he introduced himself to Stevie Fleck during Stevie's stay as Lead Guitarist and Singer of DAB (Dead Alliance Buffalo). The two kicked off an instant platonic relationship as Stevie taught Mitch much about jazz and classical theory and history, developing their chemistry, group mind, and styler of musical conversation as well as establishing their roots as a band of keepers of the ages- not having the music serve Soular Plexus but as having Soular Plexus serve the planet through music.

We pay respectful study to history and theory of all Americana and World Musics that we can find in order to keep alive the music that got us to this amazing Age we've come into. We blend Improvised and Composed music, Sacred and Secular music, instrumental and a Capella, simple and complex. We fuse styles in addition to keeping them pure as wel as doing our own "thing".

We are a family band: although our music is feel good music, the music is intended to uplift; to move people to dancing and inspire positive motivation, music to teach our children well and make the planet a better place. It's music for couples, individuals, families and friends of all generations and races.

We authentically cover and exude the spirit of all styles of Rock and Roll (from rockabilly to the Beatles early mid and late to Psychedelic rock to jazz rock fusion to progressive rock, heavy rock, funk rock, soft rock, 70s 80s and 90s rock and beyond), all styles of Jazz (from its predecessor, ragtime, to dixieland, swing, cool jazz, hard bop, latin jazz, bebop, modal jazz, free jazz, funk, fusion, and acid jazz), authentic Blues (country blues, slide guitar, blues rock, acoustic folk blues, psychedelic blues, chicago blues, texas blues, san francisco blues, jazz blues, etc), Bluegrass, Midwestern, Soul, Motown, Funk, Reggae, and even hiphop, dance trance/electronica, punk, touching on metal, avant garde, and classical music. But mostly, we jam like the Grateful Dead, Phish, and the Allman Brothers band :)
