Destruction Evolution has a unique yet accessible sound that wins over any rock or metal crowd & has allowed them to open, successfully, for a diverse collection of rock & metal bands including Saxon, Dokken (twice), Texas Hippie Coalition (twice), Kamelot, Black Stone Cherry, Saving Abel, Hinder, Crowbar, & Prong, Adrenaline Mob, Kill Devil Hill, in addition to playing the South Texas Rock Fest with Queensryche, Saxon, & many other international acts. Destruction Evolution has also headlined some of the best live venues locally & throughout the state. They have also performed for River City Wrestling a subsidiary of World Wrestling Entertainment. DE has been #1 on San Antonio's metal charts since July 2010 and their southern metal sound - heavy, but melodic, with bluesy guitar licks & a solid groove, is influenced by Down, COC, Alice In Chains, BLS, Pantera, Sabbath, Metallica, Godsmack, Soundgarden, & more. Destruction Evolution was the brainchild of "Destruction Mike" Christman in August 2007. He and Sin got together, wrote some songs and brought in Richie, Jim and Penga to round out the lineup. In mid-2010, after collaborating on their debut album, "Relentless" "Destruction" Mike stepped down due to medical reasons stemming from a 2009 vehicle accident. DE wishes him well and he will always be our brother in arms. In September 2010, DE signed an administrator and distribution deal with G.I. Jams and are now one of the leading artists for the label. Since August 2010, Destruction Evolution has been the #1 metal band in San Antonio and hovers around the Top 100 (and climbing) in the nation. In November 2010, they were flown to to Las Vegas by their label, G.I. Jams to perform in the first G.I. Jams showcase at the Cannery Hotel and Casino.
