ENGLISH VERSION//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
O'funk'illo was a Spanish funky band coming from Seville, Spain. As the band members used to say they have a "Funky Andaluz Embrutessío" style.
The band name comes from mixing the Spanish from Seville slang expression "ojú quillo" with "funk", main band's style.
Apart from funk, O'funk'illo have tasted several music styles from metal to flamenco passing by reggae.
The beginnings are found in year 1997, when they were performing as "Motherfunkers", generally playing covers. As the band was winning over audience, they decided to start writing their own songs and change the name to the actual "O'funk'illo".
After a while, the band was gaining success, performing in several summer music festivals with relative importance, as "Viña Rock" or "Espárrago Rock", and lots of tours all over Spain.
Their last album had a special hit both in critics and public.
Their fans are called themselves "funkáticos".
Apart from producing their own two last records, O'funk'illo were producers and promoters of the band "Las niñas", whom components were performing as vocals on the first two O'funk'illo 's records.
O'funk'illo split as a band in February 2006.
