Sobre Josh Bogert
Vancouver-based electropop artist Josh Bogert is a bonafide triple threat. Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, the prolific 22 year old delivers a distinctive sound that is both complex and candid, shaped by diverse musical influences ranging from artists like JP Saxe to Jon Bellion, and musical icons Ed Sheeran to Justin Bieber.
Traversing an array of personal pathways, Bogert’s writing bites with honest lyrics set against a backdrop of dynamic arrangements that deliver a sound that feels organic, craftily conveying texture through lush production to engage the senses. An explorer of our innermost feelings, he has the innate ability to reflect the intimacy of relationships and communicate through song what it means to be human.
“It’s hard for me to explain exactly who I am.” he shares. “The best way I know how is to play you some music. I’ve really come to realize how much this art form has defined who I am my whole life.”
A multi-instrumentalist who started playing violin at 4, he quickly expanded to a love of singing and playing guitar, saxophone, drums, and piano. At 12yrs he started performing at open mics, and by 13 started pursuing music in earnest, releasing his own songs at the young age of 16 that reflect a lifetime of musical education. Adding to his many talents, this creative wunderkind also starred on the TV series "Backstage" in a previous life before flipping his script to a life of music.
With a natural talent for both songwriting and music production, he mixes and masters his own work, delivering a full, cohesive and polished sound that combines rhythmic intricacy and melodic maturity alongside heartfelt narratives that pack a punch. Sought out as a producer, Josh’s studio, PostCube, has worked on Andrew Allen's latest album, along with singles for Mathew V and others. Always in demand, he’s currently in sync writing sessions with ROC Artists out of LA, and has worked on collaborations with Marco Nobel, Half an Orange, Disero, Arcando, and Vaance. Josh has also shared the stage with artists such as Daya, The Vamps, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Frequently on the road with over 300 live performances in his pocket, he’s graced many a stage across the country including iconic venues like the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Scotiabank Center in Halifax, and Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. If you can’t catch Josh live, you can find his music on major music platforms where he boasts over 7M Spotify streams and 1.6 M YouTube views to date as he continues to release more of his unique brand of pop artistry.
