Fantastic concert! A tasteful blending of bluegrass and jazz, Brazilian choro, and other styles and genres. Alison Brown is a Grammy-winner (and has been nominated many times) with 12 critically-acclaimed solo albums, she has toured on many continents, and co-founded Compass Records, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023, and is one of the most respected independent labels in roots music. She also worked with Deering Banjos to develop the Julia Belle model banjo in honor of the late John Hartford, which she performs with. One of the most acclaimed and respected performers in bluegrass, but she also goes beyond the boundaries of traditional bluegrass.

It was a fantastic concert, every musician was of the highest quality, top shelf, piano, drums, bass, flute, and, of course, the best banjo player in the country, and, I got to meet her, what a night.
