Rock N Roll just a bit of everything brings you back to good ole days of great Music
Ray is always great! However we almost missed the entire concert because hitching post had the time listed as 8pm and Ray stared at like 6:30pm. We got there early to get seats and because we love him, but would have been pissed if we missed him because the time was wrong.
The concert was free, so naturally the crowd was overwhelming----too many people made movement impossible, little or no room to sit, and people in front area stood up or swayed, making johnny lee impossible to see, only fortunate to hear concert, only had lucky glimpses of Performer. I drove over 40 miles to see one of my favorite performers, and even though it wasafree concert, would have liked to have seen more. Arrived3 hours before concert started, and was fortunate to get a seat in the back of room-again, no visibility. The hostesses were wonderful, food was great--I will visit again on a non-party trip.

The hitching Post is an outstanding bar in Apache Junction. Great ownership and staff. They have hosted Johnny Lee before. This concert was different. This is Johnny's farewell run. His supporting band and crew did a great job. Johnny is failing and it did show. He was brought into the venue on a scooter and helped to his stool by the crew. His voice quality was good but not strong. Having watched him perform over the last 10 years it was sad to see him failing. Many of the people at the bar for the concert were really rude. He was on stage singing and they just started talking louder to their friends. It was really as if half of the crowd cared less about hearing Johnny and were just hanging out at a bar. I cherish the memories I have of his performances and wish him well as he goes about the remainder of his tour. Thanks for all the good times Johnny and I wish you all the best!
