Nobel
Nobel is hét poppodium van Leiden en de regio daaromheen, en geeft een podium aan alles wat relevant is in de hedendaagse popcultuur. Voor artiesten en publiek is de Nobel een ontmoetingsplaats waar wordt beleefd, bedacht, gevierd en gedeeld, met muziek als inspiratiebron. Het is een plek waar ruimte is voor iedereen, waar mensen hun eigen identiteit ontdekken en uitdragen en waar iedereen zich thuis voelt en zichzelf kan zijn.
Nobel staat voor een vernieuwend en actueel aanbod van muziek en andere vormen van (pop)cultuur. Leiden is de stad van kennis en cultuur. Daarin heeft Nobel een belangrijke rol om nieuwe cultuur in de stad te presenteren. We volgen daarom de smaak van de stad in de programmering, lopen daarop vooruit door nieuwe genres en subculturen te presenteren, en reiken actuele thema’s en nieuw talent aan.

This was my first time in Leiden and at NOBEL. I came all the way from Japan. I wish I could have stayed until the end, but unfortunately, my wife and I had to leave before the last song because we had to leave the Netherlands early the next morning.
I met some really nice people: a Swiss guy who really enjoys a drink, a heavy-metal woman from Ireland, and a handsome guy who really loves Japan.
The Netherlands will always remind me of Coroner. Although I couldn't stay for their final song, their brilliant and intricate compositions gave me a deeply intoxicating experience. Coroner was absolutely amazing.
It was a very special night for me, and I hope I can see Coroner again someday.
