Unfortunately they are losing their strength and stage stamina relying on the back ups to get them through the night. Loved this band throughout their career but it just seems like a cover band at this point
Justin Hayward's voice is still magnificent and iconic in the music industry, but hearing those songs from the Moody Blues wasn't the same without the entire band. While the show was enjoyable, it lacked the excitement of hearing a Moody Blues concert.
Great show!! Amazing performance. Musicianship was stellar especially Brad Gillis. The guys all seemed to be having a blast and had tons of energy. They have some cool nuances to things like the drum solo that make the show more entertaining! First time seeing but won’t be the last! Very enjoyable and fun show.
Peter and the band were Amazing!!
I have been to his shows since the early 70's and I must say this was one of the best I have ever seen!!
Peter keeps getting Better with age!!
Mayo Performing Arts Center was a great Venue!!
Peter Frampton was on fire! His IBM diagnosis has not slowed him down or changed his fantastic guitar playing one bit! Although he performs seated now (as is the rest of his band) he gets so into the music it's a wonder he doesn't fall off his chair! The Mayo Performing Arts Center was a perfect venue for the show, not a bad seat in the house! Peter pulled out some fabulous lesser-known tunes, some bluesy stuff, his fantastic instrumental rendition of Black Hole Sun, hits from his days with Humble Pie and his soaring version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. A total highlight of the night was when Peter introduced the son of his longtime bandmate and friend, Bob Mayo, who passed away while on tour with Peter in 2004. Greg Mayo is a phenomenal musician in his own right, starting off a tour as part of Daryl Hall's band. But last night at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, Mayo was on keyboards again, playing his dad's part on Baby, I Love Your Way. For any true Frampton fan, this was an extraordinary moment. I've seen Peter Frampton in concert many, many times over the decades, and the show on 3/13/2024 was definitely one of the best!
I saw Peter Frampton 40 years ago at Madison Square Garden. The show he put on last night was a million times better. It was sad at first to see Peter with a cane, but once he sat down he was the singer and performer we remember from decades ago. While most artists at later years move the key down a few steps to make the high notes - Peter Frampton sang as if he was 25 and played with expertise and dexterity that many younger players only dream of. His stories, stage presence and musicianship shined through the entire show, along with the other musicians on tour with him.Thank you Peter for not giving up because you brought me back to a simpler and more innocent stage of my life - I will always remember this performance.
Frampton stands tall on the mantle of Guitar Gods. He played 2.5 hours and all of it was above and beyond expectations. He is STILL in his peak. His voice didn’t age in 50 years and his playing is even better. There was energy feeding both artist and audience from each other last night. Keep on Rocking Peter Frampton. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎸🎸🎸
Excellent excellent excellent !! Derek is so talented and such a nice genuine person!!! Have followed him on dancing with stars , works of dance and tik tok !!! He is a true gem and an awesome entertainer!!! All of the dancers were amazing !! What a great group of dancers and they were each so talented as well!!
The venue was awesome… The sound also was phenomenal… However, the Setlist, the band played was less than questionable… They started off with a few of their major hits, then had the typical lol of soft songs… At the end of the day their encore was horrific… The band had lacked energy after the encore
MPAC is a wonderful venue. Don Felder put on a great show accompanied by 4 excellent musicians. I know he is an extraordinary guitar player, but I wasn't sure what to expect vocally. He was great! I'm very glad we saw him, truly a wonderful evening.
This was a fabulous show! Peter Noone is a true entertainer! He is a terrific singer, comedian and an all round great personality. He mingled with the audience and after giving his all on stage still took the time to meet fans, pose for photographs and sign autographs!
A lot of energy! Donny was pumped and the adrenaline was flowing. Fantastic show. Not happy with the venue. Was so hot outside, no place to sit. They need to understand the concerns of an older crowd and should have let some people in the lobby.
Rick Nielson was great, Robin Zander's still has a strong voice, Tom Petersson and Dax Nielsen where a perfect rhythm section. Robin's son, Robin Taylor Zander performed some vocals as well as rhythm guitar. Father time has changed their show a bit from the earlier days but it was still extremely entertaining. Cheap Trick was terrific!
seen Rick and the band @ the keswick theatre on friday, january 13th. The shoe was fabulous. This tribute band is by far in my opinion the best tribute band out there that I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of them. He must do his research, because if you close your eyes you can almost believe you are at a REAL bob seger concert. After seeing bob seger himself, and seeing hollywood nights a few times, this is a show not to miss. The group has the music down pat, and now they are going outside the box to bring in a few of bob seger's hidden jems. I would like to see them try and perform the song "understanding", a song done by bob seger for the movie "teachers" and put on the greatest hits vol. II album. The group also thanks the audience for coming out to support them and the music of Bob seger and the silver bullet band. Thanks to this group and I'll be going to see them again.excellent!
A Very Darren Crissmas last night at the Mayo Performing Arts Center was amazing! After coming in from all the snow falling outside and the chill in the air and then hearing his warm, smooth voice.....it made my night. He was so funny, talented and down to earth. The venue was dressed up for Christmas and the audience was full. I'd love to see him again. This is my third or fourth Darren concert 🥰🎶🎤❄️
Always entertaining, the music as well as the banter between songs. These guys love to play and it shows in the joy with which they play together on stage. It’s contagious and I always leave a bigger fan than when I entered. Always great music, always a great time at their shows.
The entire concert couldn't have been any better unless he played longer than his 1 hr. 40 min.!
The Mayo venue was beautiful, easy in / out and not a bad seat in the house.
Chris was personable, engaging with the crowd and a true experienced showman, and that
voice - incredible!!! Mike NY
The show was absolutely amazing!!! It was a surprise birthday gift for my young adults who would be away during their respective birthdays. They really liked the surprise, and really appreciated the gift. I loved how (Black Violin) interacted with the crowd. Most certainly Not a simple "sit and be entertained" concert. This showing was Sold Out and it was worth every $1 spent. The theme of the concert and message to the young, and young at heart, and ... dreamers is:
"Be Willing To Think Outside The Box and one day people will pay to see [you]."
My first KANSAS concert and was thoroughly impressed with the performance.
Also, the venue is smaller than other places and the sound was expertly mixed to perfection.
The new songs they performed from "The Absence of Presence" blended in nicely with the classics
Prog is Back in a big way and you don't want to miss them when they come to your town.
Band was fabulous. We’ve followed Tony and Scott’s careers for years and they fit right into Feat. Nice to hear songs they couldn’t really play without Lowell’s voice. Being able to dance would have been able to make it a little better but stellar effort fro my favorite band!
