Great venue. Cool crowd. Wish the set was longer. Wretched Blessing was great too as an opener. Sarin wasn't my style. Wish they would have played some of their instrumental tracks. Singer was animated. Put on a good show.
The Empty Bottle is a cozy, welcoming venue full of intimate creative energy. Madeline Goldstein, Normal Bias, and X and Stacy drew in a diverse crowd sporting the darkest fashions. X and Stacy are an up and coming electronic duo, and Stacy's dance moves whetted the appetites for Madeline Goldstein's performance later. Normal Bias faithfully captured the best industrial and electronic 80's and 90's grooves. The lead singer sounds eerily like David Gahan of Depeche Mode, but the music has a harder edge of Nitzer Ebb. He had a commanding presence and swaggered into the audience at once point. Madeline Goldstein has a wonderful presence. Initially dressed in 80's corporate chick, she shed her jacket, showing how graceful and expressive her body is. Her dramatic movement mirrored her dramatic lyrics, backed up with operatic vocal flourishes from her backup musician Margo. Madeline's own voice is silky and sultry, like a hot Chicago summer evening in 1996. She was around to sell merch, sign records, and answer questions after the show. All the artists supported each other's acts. I even saw Panic Priest dancing with the audience.
This is the first time I’ve bothered to leave a rating on Bandsintown and it’s only because this was the best g*****n rock show I’ve been to this year. Incredible live act and really nice guys, to boot.
It was the best concert I’ve been to since last year! Lambrini Girls don’t disappoint! They rock the roof off and blow your minds with their music and stage presence! If you haven’t seen them yet, go for it. They’re an amazing band! Highly recommended!
Phenomenal! They bring so much energy and sound fantastic! They're also very engaging with the crowd during and after the set. I could not be happier with my experience seeing Cari Cari at Empty Bottle
Mamí thank you so much for coming to Chi. If you didn't make it then you missed out babes. Brooke, Namasenda and Tasha put on amazing performances. Thank you again baby.
such a fun event, hosted by an incredible DJ. sapphic factory created such a safe space for all kinds of people, and empty bottle was the perfect venue for it, with exceptionally kind bartenders & staff.
Really amazing but short I can’t complain because it was a free gig I was just happy to be there. I got to meet the band as well even though I was star struck I managed to say a few things haha and get a picture with Jacob.
Jack White was awesome tonight at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Today's show December 8th was his last show of the year. He closed the show with the last song of his encore, "Seven Nation Army". It was one of the best Live performances I've attended.
One of the best experiences I have had. Such an incredible opportunity to witness his energy on a stage he hadn’t played in 20 years. He was also amazingly gracious with his words to all of us that hung out back afterwards. Dominic, Daru, and Quincy were all super sweet guys. Such a privilege all around.
Absolutely amazing, what made it better was my friend Gracie introduced me to them and took me to my first show! It’s a memory I’ll hold near and dear to my heart forever.
Great show from a great band, and a cozy venue like The Empty Bottle made for a fantastic set. I've enjoyed the album, but think they were even better live.
Warm-up set from Modern Nun was entertaining, and while I wasn't familiar with their music it was clear they had some fans in attendence.
An amazing assault on all of your senses! Every band I see from here on will have to work hard to live up to the show APTBS put on. They truly connect with and involve the crowd and they become a part of the performance. A must see!
Such a talented artist playing multiple instruments and putting on a total show for us that came out on a Tuesday night. If he’s in your city you have to go. Cheers! Erick
