Symphony X was beyond phenomenal, as usual. Even though Russell was not feeling up to par, he still was the best front man on the planet.
Incredible show! I found out about The Wreck earlier this year and have been listening to and watching their videos ever since. We found out they were playing at The Token and decided to go. I grew up only a couple of miles from The Token as a young boy but had never been there. My cousin drove 2 hours to my place in Midland and then we drove another 2 hours to see the band. We were thrilled with the show. The band was excellent, very talented and tight. The music is unforgettable and the venue quite friendly and quaint. It was cool being so close to the band and being able to meet Robert afterwards. We'll be back to The Token and we'll definitely look to see The Wreck again.
Outstanding Show. Not since J. Giels live. I was there the night they recorded Fullhouse.
Not since then had I felt the inspiration of true showmanship. The entire band plays with such passion and precision Anthony is a Star.
Look to see them playing arenas. My boyfriend doesn’t care to go out. He bought the tickets after observing me play bits off of Anthony Gomes ads on Facebook. He is a member of the “family” now too. Two new fans. We will be back.
Venue was great, good seating, free parking, not too many people. Wasn't big on the opening band but they were ok. Greg was just as good as ever and had a great setlist. Joel Taylor is a stellar drummer. Ernest Tibbs was the highlight for me, some of the best bass playing i've ever seen!
Absolutely amazing. Show was awesome. The band was awesome. Treated our two ten year olds like princesses when they met. They’ll never forget their first rock concert. This will not be the last time we see them.
Tha Band was awesome!!
The set list had a couple of great surprises.
They are a “must see “ for RUSH fans.
The venue had everything well set up.
I have seen these guys 4 times here in Detroit and they ALWAYS put on a great show with intensity and exacting sound quality. At the end, they came out again for an encore to the deafening roar of the crowd. This was my first time seeing Perry Richardson of FIREHOUSE playing bass instead of Tim Gains, he did not disappoint (and I got his Bass pick too - ha)
King's X was incredible last night at the Token Lounge! I loved the show. The setlist was perfect, the playing was perfect, and the a cappella with the crowd at the end was a perfect finale. I love this band!
The Winery Dogs were and always are spectacular. But the Token Lounge was oversold on tickets and the place was packed for the show. I hope the Winery Dogs tour again soon, but that they dont return to the Token Lounge. The place should have been reported to the fire marshall!
Holy moley, they were amazing! Band played great, Amanda’s vocals were fantastic! After the show, the whole band hung out with the fans, took time to chat with us, sign items, & take pictures. If you get a chance, you need to go see them, you will not be disappointed.
“EVA UNDER FIRE ” were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC the venue was great in no seat event, the Owner of the Token Lounge provided my friend and myself with a bar stools to sit on. I truly appreciate that so much. Definitely will recommend the Token Lounge .. 🎼❤️🎼
Artificial Agent brought an unbelievable energy to the venue that was infectious throughout the crowd - My friend turned to me and said "I can't believe how much of a true concert vibe they just laid out - they are amazing!" I couldn't have put it better myself - Why would you pay a fortune for a concert when you can go see a band like Artificial Agent that absolutely does this for the love of their craft - It is not often a band sticks around to greet every person in the venue like they did - Hats off to AA's drive towards keeping the local music scene alive and well and they definitely deserve more than five stars
Did the VIP! Worth Every Penny!! Those guys are a great team!! Very hospitable and professional! Very Funny too! Great Show! They left it all on the stage! Go to a show! And make it LAST IN LINE!!
You won’t be disappointed 👍🏼👍🏼
Not necessarily the best venue, not necessarily the best sound system, but the place has a vibe and Davy absolutely killed it. I've seen him three times over about 15 years and he keeps getting better.
absolutely fantastic second to none. their energy was way over the top. they truly are the greatest. I cannot wit to see them again and again and again
Stryper definitely "Rocked the Hell out of Us." The Token Lounge is a really great place to go see your Favorite bands up close. My son's and I had awesome time. "Hazard" started the night off. I had not heard of them till now and I won't soon forget them. They are a really talented up and comers with a very bright future. I will definitely be following them you guys gained another fan.
Stryper. what can I say I've been a fan since my teenage years. They rock just as good now or even better than they did back in 80's 35 years man its a long time but who they stand for He has Blessed them an has honored there ministry so very much thank you guys for all your God honoring hard work.
As expected, a great performance from one of the greatest guitarists in the world. Buckethead deserves a better venue to do his magic because the token lounge SUCKS. Small and low stage that we couldn’t see anything , stinky smell and a really dirty place. I have seen Buckethead before in Houston at house of blues and it was one of the greatest shows of my life.
Please try a better venue next time.
Anthony and the band were amazing!! Never before have I seen such a spectacular pair of pants, and he looked great in them. This was the 6th time I've seen him in as many years, and he never disappoints. This time and at Callahan's 2 years ago, and in Ohio 4 years ago at a 3 day event, were my favorites. I'm sure the next time will be awesome too. Con grats on your Blues Album of the year - you had some stiff competition, and even beat my guy, Buddy Guy! I can barely talk today.
Samantha was great. The 3 stars is due to the venue. 40 degrees outside and raining and doors opened an hour late. They blamed it on the band arriving late and some cockamamie excuse that they can’t let people in while the band is doing sound checks.
Add to that, The Token’s sound system blows. Feedback and technical problems throughout the show.
A premier concert venue? I guess that doesn’t include lighting. Every time Samantha moves away from the mic she was pretty much in darkness.
Samantha Fish is Must-See. But not at the Token Lounge.
