Commodore Ballroom

How lucky was Vancouver to have The Red Clay Strays come to our city not one, but two nights, the first city to play on their first time to Canada! Five stars out of five without doubt. The guys were happy to be here, ready to play for us and that they did! I think they were in tip top shape on every level; top notch muscianship, energy, crowd reception, fan interaction and everything positive and beautiful. We LOVED them and the love was returned. I've gone to a cazillion shows at The Commodore and this was without question in my top 5 shows. My only complaint would be the reality that it ended. Feeling so grateful for these guys, they just do music justice and do it right. I LOVE you Red Clay Strays!!! *missing from pic is guitarist Drew, he was too far off to the side stage, didn't get him into the shot, sorry Drew

Peaches is an Iconic Canadian legend! This was my second time seeing her live and she does not disappoint! Almost an hour and a half of non stop unforgettable preformance once again! The Commodore is by far my one of my favourite venues. I feel like it's the perfect venue connect more with the artist more intimately. At some point in the show Peaches was crowd surfing and singing and dancing in the crowd with us! If you ever get a chance I highly recommend seeing this one if a kind artist .

One of the most inviting spaces I've been to for a long time. Everybody really respected each other's space and experience but it was also insane energy. So much fighting back towards the state of the world right now because of the fascist ped0s running the world. His energy, his presence in the moment and his excitement for seeing our energy matching his was incredible and I highly recommend seeing him live and supporting him so he can then help support those in need.

Wonderful to hear Macy at the Commodore in Vancouver (I travelled there as there was no show scheduled for Toronto at that time). Unfortunately her support team did not apply adequate Lighting on her (or at least diminish the overall lighting) and she was essentially a silhouette throughout most of the show. Disappointing, and if this was a directive from Macy - I would encourage some creative solutions and for her to wear sunglasses if bright light annoys her. We want to see her -- as she is a very expressive individual visually as well as vocally. I also acquired tickets for her show at the Concert Hall in Toronto - Nov 15.2025.....but it has been postponed and the promoters did a crappy job of communicating this and some of us showed up at the venue only to be disappointed (some people there had travelled a significant distance). Macy - wishing you all the best - get well; please come back to Toronto! [email protected]

The best concert of my life. Thank you for closing with Sometimes, I couldn’t believe that you’d play my favorite piece. I’ve never cried at a show before, at yours I did twice—at the last song and the Song About and Angel. I just wrote a lengthy review for Ticketmaster and this is just a little summary of it, but I just wanted to say Thank You to the whole band, and chapeau bas Jeremy. The sound, the energy, it was so deeply moving and powerful, you played with so much joy and passion, I might never experience something like this ever again in my life. I’d buy a live recording of this concert if it was available.

OMG! What a fantastic show!! I go to a LOT of shows - always have - AND I'm a musician so my bar is set pretty high. This show was killer good in every way. Digging Roots were fantastic - mother, father and son! Wow. Great music, great message. And then all those "mature" men in BARK playing their asses off for 2 and a half hours!! Add into all that goodness Terry Lightfoot and Colin James joining in - WOW!!! It was stellar. I've seen Colin Linden many times and love him. Amazing songwriter, slide player and singer. Stephen Fearing I've also seen before and love. I've never seen Tom Wilson but certainly know of him (Junkhouse) and holy hell - he's incredible live! I particularly loved when he read from his book and told us that he's Mohawk. There were a ton of musicians in the audience which we all know means it's actually a "happening". And it was. I came out of there full to the brim with the good feeling you get from a really fab show. Thank you!!

Saturday night March 29th 2025 turned into a party. A sold out party. It would be easy to say it don't get any better than this was but truth is each and every performance and event gets more exciting and leaves us waiting for the next experience with Josh Ross and his team. The new music is going to be fire for the fans. Personally I can't wait to hear what's next from Josh Ross. As all true fans do I anticipate nothing but 100% from his heart as always. Another awesome performance awaits at 5:00 March 30th LYFNC JR 💖💖💖 Many prayers and much love to Josh Ross his team and management thank you for all the work y'all put into each and every event.

Excellent show - super engaging, high energy, fun. Only reason not to rate as 5 stars is the acoustics muffled the vocals a bit at times, including making it hard to understand what the vocalist was saying sometimes when interacting with the crowd. But a super fun show with real bangers and the softer songs like Sorry and If I get High were superb, the vocalist’s range and power was amazing despite him saying his voice was a bit challenged that day.

Couldn't have asked for a better show. The band was energetic and played a good mix from their new album and the hits. They even mixed in a little Van Halen, which is appropriate given Cherone's tenure with the band and Nuno's virtuoso guitar mastery. It would be nice if the venue would ban cell phones as I did spend a good portion of the show staring at the phone of the person ahead of me as they recorded parts of the show. I just stuck my phone in their face and they got the hint.

Tickets were for a 7:00 start, but doors didn't open until 7:15. Opening act started at 8:00. Long intermission. This schedule may work on a weekend, but half the crowd likely had jobs or school the next morning. The opening act, Adelitas Way, were full of energy but the mix was odd. Lead singer, Rick DeJesus, kept pulling the mic back when he sang loud. Unfortunmately, he pulled it too far off and the loud and high notes could barely be heard. Skillet's one set started at just after 9:00 and lasted until just before 10:30. It was great that the band focused on their large catalogue of music rather than push their most recent album.

They absolutely brought the heat to the show, and I couldn't have been more satisfied! I also really appreciated that they did a proper M&G so the fans got a chance to quickly chat with them before the photo rather than the typical 'you got 5 secs to say hi, snap a pic and move on". Every member was super soft-spoken, polite and appreciative of people coming to their show. Door was at 1930, but the show didn't start until 2100 which I think was the venue's policy to maximize their revenue. It's understandable, though I wish it started a bit earlier rather than having to wait 90 mins. Overall, I had an absolute blast with STP last night. High energy and lots of crowd interaction. I love you crazy motherfuckers!!🤘🤘🤘

The venue was fantastic and the staff were helpful, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The sound was fabulous and the artist Tove Lo was sensational. Definitely worth the 2 (due to medical postponement) trips from out of province to see her. I would have stayed for another night to see her perform again or to include a couple more of her hits that did not make it in this performance. Her merchandise was fantastic but did not include everything (about 85% of the selection) on her website with lots of various sizes.

Clutch played like the pros they are. The line up was anticlimactic. Their set list focused on more obscure and new-album songs. The sound at the Commodore was bad like the Wiltern in Los Angeles - Jean Paul’s cymbals dominated the mix and Tim’s guitars were an indecipherable bassy muffle fuzz. Neil’s vocals popped, so that’s a positive. Also the floor at the Commodore is sprung, so that’s wonderful on audience bodies! But was so sticky, it was dangerous. No one could mosh or even dance. It took great effort to lift a foot away from the floor due to how infrequently it is mopped, I’m guessing. Always fun to hear Clutch play.

There's something in the water down in Tennessee, or maybe it's the whiskey. Larkin Poe proved that they sure can play, serving up like a shot of Tennessee Whisky, wowing a packed Commodore Ballroom, leaving Vancouver enthralled. They put on an incredibly entertaining concert., rocking & rolling, with a Bluesy undertone, plus a touch of country, & a little bit of gospel thrown in for good measure. It was high energy & fully entertaining from start to finish. For those who were there, many seeing Larkin Poe for the fist time,, we hope we won't have to wait too long to welcome them back 5 Stars out of 5

The best show! The most talented artist and genuine person I have seen in years! A true performer, and song writer with such a gorgeous voice . And Mahalia has such an intense energy on the stage that if you did not know any of her songs, you will not only know majority of the lyrics before the show is over but your feet and hips will be sore from all the uncontrollable dancing. Can’t wait to hear her next songs and see her and her amazing band live ! ❤️

Tucker is a fantastic performer, he is incredibly lively and energetic and personable. He has got a great fan base with one of the nicest groups of people I ever met. Instantly upon walking in I met so many new people. The floor was crowded and very hot but the commodore was great at running around and giving out water etc everyone was checking in on each other and making sure everyone had enough space etc. Special shoutout to all the birthdays he made everyone say it to his fans, highly recommend!!

I convinced my wife to come last minute and picked up some cheap Craigslist tickets. I feel sorry for the person who couldn’t go because that show blew me away. Wow! Great music to get stoned to. Perfects visuals and an amazing journey. I will never miss another Caribou show in Vancouver again. …a show to be enjoyed for its well thought out audio and visuals. I can’t say enough about this performance but I sure wish it had been longer.
