An unbelievable show. This band, especially their Razzmatazz album, has unlocked a different side of me that I didn't know existed. I was so excited when Clusterhug started playing, as it is by far one of my favorites. Dallon's vocals never fail to impress; his range is insane. If you ever get the chance to see this band, jump on it. The 2 1/2 hour drive there and back were worth every second to get this experience.
What memory? I didn't go. $125/ticket at the Newport. NO ONE has ever charged that much for the Newport. Usual price is at least $50 less because it's across from OSU campus and college students don't have money to spare, especially at the end of Rush Week.
I gave it a 3 start because, while I'm positive he put on a great show, that ticket price was insane for the venue and ticket provider. Artists rarely set prices. The message needs to be sent, because it's getting to the point where only the privileged get to go to concerts.
Probably the best night of my life by far! My partner & I both managed to have VIP & their question got answered with as hilarious of a response as we could've expected. The soundcheck was Sugar Pills & Satanic Panic, if anyone's curious (both are favs of mine, so needless to say I lost my mind when it happened. lol). My mom took us there since neither of us have a drivers lisence yet & I played the pre/post show playlist RELIGIOUSLY whenever possible, but my mom & partner both wanted different music on the way since we're from Chillicothe & the drive is fairly long to get to the venue (which I LOVED seeing in person since I'd never gone to any concerts properly prior to this. If anyone hasn't been there, I highly recommend it. Very kind & friendly staff, beautiful decor, & water at the bar for my fellow underaged concert goers.) With the VIP tickets we got about 4 rows or so away from the stage at most, which only made it better of an experience. I got acknowledged during NLTOB & I'm NEVER getting over that fact (for anyone else who was there, I said "Take your time, buddy!" during the dramatic pause at the end & Dallon responded with a "I WILL take my time" in that signature stage-snarky tone he uses, because why wouldn't he?). I could go into more detail about my experience that night, but that's an essay I'd rather spare someone of reading on here. lol (The only thing I'd change would be having the opportunity to talk to Dallon face-to-face after the show, however my mom & partner were both understandably tuckered out by the end.)
I cannot WAIT until they come back! Awesome crowd-work and the venue was great for a close-up experience (like… close enough to help Remington start crowd surfing and panicking because I lack upper body strength sort of close up!). They’ll have my money anytime they’re in town! They’ll have my money anytime they’re not in town too!
(Note: this picture was not taken near the stage. I was in line too late to be that close. Instead, I stood near a railing at the edge of the pit like a lil wallflower content with my location. I was not prepared for any musicians to walk on said railing and then perform directly next to me. Even if you don’t think you have a good enough position in the crowd, you very well might. They work the room (especially the pit) like pros)
The show was amazing, best concert I've been to so far! If anyone is worried about getting accessible seating (because I know some bands don't really interact or even look that direction) don't be, they interacted with us just about as much as they do with regular GA and it was great. Amazing show!
Fast, friendly, punctual entry to venue.
Opener: Weak Signal was a fun, enjoyable surprise.
KV & the band were super.
Clear, crisp, & clean acoustics.
Setlist was excellent mix of KV standards, oldies, deep cuts & new songs!
Lights & backdrop perfect blend of playful, colorful & dramatic!
Thanks Newport Music Hall & Kurt Vile for a lovely & memorable evening of rocknroll!
Gotta say Columbus made me proud at this one. The pit was respectful/ordely chaos and consistently hype.
BUT I gotta say I was a bit surprised/disappointed that Geoff didn't mention Palestine. He has several interludes including affirmation of principles and beliefs like women's and LGBT rights, but said nothing of the ongoing genocide unfolding before our very eyes in Gaza. I mean... the album is called "War all the Time"

The Garden twins are some of the most talented, dynamic, and energetic acts in punk right now and create nothing but great music. Armed with face paint and stunts worthy of their jester brand, the two have an incredibly unique, intertwined performance style and put on a fantastically entertaining show. Don't sleep on them.
The show I attended was actually in Cincinnati at Bogarts, I also saw her back in 2019 in Cleveland at The House of Blues. Anyway her show is always 🔥 🔥 🔥. The meet and greet experience was super inviting. Any Ella show is a vive. 10/10 highly recommended will always attend at least one show when she is in or near my state!!
This was an amazing show! It's rare that you see a band where you know and love every song! I didn't realize there were only two guys in the band! They were just incredible!
-P.S. I let my wife write that review because she loved the show sooooo much. The whole family did; singing and dancing along to every song. It was a lot of fun!
Slaughter to Prevail set a fire in the heart of everyone in the venue. Not only did I witness thrashing and moshing that would make a nun faint I also witnessed camaraderie that I have never seen in civilian life. Also had a young lady ask me to throw her which was cool.
Probably one of the best shows I have seen in a while and we go to a lot of shows. They had no opening act and killed it from beginning to end! I have never seen a single act have a merch line so long! Not one person left that venue without purchasing something! Such a memorable night! Can’t wait to see them again!🤘
The meet and greet with Jaden was amazing!! I loved Beauty School Dropout’s set so much it was so hype!! They are one of my favorite bands for sure! I also got to meet them after the show! I had a great time seeing Jaden perform he was amazing as always !!!
Amazing, and it was a surprisingly great crowd for a Monday evening. Tillie, the girl who opened for Lights, was fantastic! Lights played a lot of new stuff ofc, but she also played older stuff which (being a long time fan) was so fun! The venue was okay, very rundown, and the sound wasn't too loud so if u forget ear plugs your all good! Anyways, great show, and it was a fun Monday night
They played for 3 hours!!! Took a 10 minute break to re-warm the chops then came back out and rocked it like they had just started playing! The lights complemented the music perfectly, not too much but also more than enough. First time seeing them, definitely did not disappoint! Can’t wait for their next time in Columbus!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would without a doubt. My first time at the Newport Music Hall, and my partner's first concert in general; Everyone was so nice and accommodating + everything went by without any issues. ADA seating areas are also apparently always accessible (doesn't cost extra either) and they helped us with acquiring that as stated on their website. But even for places that weren't easily accessible, I was helped around with my wheelchair (I have a lighter, foldable portable kind that I took). Such a wonderful atmosphere overall; great night and show! It was all above and beyond my already high expectations, and I'd absolutely return if I ever got a chance. Forever giving big thanks to each of you that help make these opportunities come to fruition!
i really thought i already wrote a review but in case i didn't here's this: i love this band. i didn't even realize how many of these songs i knew until i was there. the crowd was kinda weird-super small (i came late and still was one of the first people there) and not super into it. bands energy was great and i surprising liked the speeches mitchie gave.
i had vip, and it was my fifth time seeing him live, and ninth time meeting jordan. he gave me a big hug, and took time to talk and joke around with me. i made so many friends, and during blood//water he gave me his shirt. the show was so insanely amazing.
This was was my first ever concert and it was amazing! I went crowed surfing and they held me up for a bit but then Cody jumped in and they threw me to the ground but they all asked if I was ok! I swear he pointed at me and it was so awesome! And thank you for the crown Cody!!
Cherub was amazing from what i saw on people’s snaps. I, on the other hand, got kicked out so that sucked because of newport’s security. i shared a sip of my alcoholic drink with a friend because she wanted to know what it was and i didn’t know how to describe it. not to mention it was my first time getting a drink in public because i just turned 21 in july. i want a refund for another Cherub concert.
