WEAREOFF. Bleakness. Desire. Remoteness. Ecstasy. Defeat. Elation. Hope. The absurdities of modern and postmodern life. Dark synth textures remeniscent of 80s New Wave mated with guitar hooks you'll never forget. Pumping basslines to move your feet and thrill your heart. Melodies to enchant and confound. From yesterday toward the future. Having started out as a side project by Stefan Nielsen and Daniel Schlott, two former Tigerbeat members WEAREOFF grew to a full band in 2010, when Tobias Noormann (Mikroboy) and Angus Baigent (The Common Down) joined in on drums, respectively guitar. Inspired by the artistic works of bands like Chameleons, Section 25, The Cure and New Order, WEAREOFF captures the bleak atmosphere, dark spirit and minimalistic approach of 80s New Wave music to create its own modern interpretation. The band released its 5 track debut, simply entitled ‘EP‘, in November 2010. The band`s first full length album "Objects In Motion" will be released on May, 24th 2013 ...
