Michael Rushden Biography
Michael Rushden is a solo alternative Hip-Hop artist who is known for his 1980's rock n roll style and appearance. His style fuses sharp & edgy quick raps over funk, rock, r&b and chiptune breaks while often talking about fast cars, women, dogs, and cigarettes in his verses.
Michael has released five albums through the Canadian indie label Volunteer Media, Rad (2010), Easy Does It Club (2013), Fiero (2014), Use Your Illusion III (2015) and WW4 (2017). Michael is known for often working alongside fellow Rushden & Diamonds band mate Lord Diamonds and Ex-Cadence weapon turntablist DJ Weezl.
Both solo and as a group, Michael has toured extensively throughout Canada, USA, Europe and Asia and has rocked stages alongside artists Kool Keith, RiFF RAFF, Kutmasta Kurt, Onyx, KRS-One, New Order, Flying Lotus, MF DOOM and more.
